Summary:

We're looking for a Director of Analytics to join our Data Analytics team. This team turns raw data into strategic direction, giving every function at Anaconda access to clean, consistent, and actionable intelligence. We work across Finance, GTM, Product, and Customer Success to make sure the people making decisions have the data they need to make good ones.

As part of the Data Analytics team, this role leads a team of 7-8 analysts and analytic engineers, inheriting solid infrastructure and a real opportunity to level it up. You'll inherit strong foundations, a team mid-stride, and a mandate to sharpen how we deliver insights across the business. The goal is to move from reporting to advising: not just telling stakeholders what happened, but helping them understand what it means and what to do about it.

What You'll Do:

You'll own data strategy from infrastructure to insight, partnering closely with Finance, GTM, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing leadership.

  • Lead and develop a team of 7-8 analysts and analytic engineers, setting clear goals, delivering regular feedback, and building a culture where people grow and do their best work.
  • Drive the evolution of our data infrastructure and analytics operations by owning data modeling in dbt, governing our Snowflake environment, and improving our reporting stack inside OMNI.
  • Deliver insights that go beyond the dashboard, translating customer, product, and financial data into clear, actionable recommendations that help Finance, GTM, Product, and CS teams make smarter decisions faster.
  • Establish and maintain a single source of truth across business functions, eliminating shadow reporting and resolving data discrepancies before they create downstream problems.
  • Partner hands-on with data engineering on pipeline requirements, data quality standards, and transformation logic, staying close enough to the work to spot issues and make good technical tradeoffs.
  • Apply statistical and analytical methods to upgrade the quality of business insights, moving the team from descriptive reporting toward causal and prescriptive analysis where it drives real value.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, GTM, Customer Success, and Marketing, acting as a trusted partner who understands their goals and proactively surfaces relevant findings.
Your Impact Will Be Measured Through:
  • Reduction in data discrepancies and time-to-resolution for cross-functional reporting conflicts
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with the quality, timeliness, and accessibility of analytics outputs
  • Delivery of business insights that drive action, not just awareness, across Finance, GTM, and CS
  • Successful adoption of Omni and unified reporting standards across the organization
  • Team development, including retention, skill growth, and speed-to-impact for new hires

What You Need:
  • 12+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data science, with progressive leadership responsibility
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience leading teams of BI analysts and/or analytic engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development
  • Proficiency in SQL (advanced) and hands-on experience with dbt, including designing and maintaining data models and transformation pipelines
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and data visualization platforms (Omni, Tableau, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (LLMs, AI-assisted coding, agentic workflows) to accelerate analytical work -- not just awareness of them, but a track record of actually building with them and raising your team's output quality as a result
  • Demonstrated track record of managing cross-functional executive stakeholders and translating complex data into clear business recommendations
  • Proven experience establishing data governance frameworks and resolving data quality issues across multiple business functions
  • Foundation in statistical analysis or data science methodologies with the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience applying statistical modeling, causal inference, or explainable AI methods to real business problems, paired with a proven ability to present findings to executive audiences
  • Track record of eliminating shadow reporting by building trusted data standards that leadership now relies on exclusively
  • Background that combines technical data depth with business strategy or consulting experience, bridging analytical rigor and business decision-making
  • Experience building or scaling analytics functions in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company where the business itself generates the data you're analyzing
  • You've thought seriously about where AI changes what analytics teams can deliver and have examples of shipping AI-assisted workflows that moved faster or went deeper than traditional approaches. You know the limits too
  • You embody our values: "Curious by Default", "Build Together", "Own It", and "Lead with Guts and Heart", and our behaviors: Clarity, Care and Candor
  • You care deeply about fostering an environment where people of all backgrounds and experiences can flourish
Why You'll Like Working Here:
  • You'll thrive in a high-performance environment where results are recognized and rewarded
  • Your work directly contributes to shaping the future of data science, machine learning, and AI in the enterprise.
  • You'll work alongside a collaborative team that values diverse, thoughtful discussion, clarity and candor.
  • You'll be supported by a culture that puts employees first - with flexible hours, a fully remote setup, and a genuine commitment to your wellbeing and growth.
