Who We Are

We’re an experiential marketing agency that specializes in creating dynamic brand experiences that make an impact. We believe these experiences are important moments that can happen anywhere — onsite at an event, online, on a billboard, or across any other channel of a campaign. Audiences are overwhelmed with brands competing for their attention, so it takes true expertise to break through and turn those moments into experiences. That’s where we come in.

As an employee-owned agency, we’re fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a drive to help brands break through in meaningful, memorable ways. We believe in being great, doing good, and having fun while delivering bold, results-driven, award-winning work. With offices in the SF Bay Area, New York, and Chicago, our client partners include some of the most recognizable brands in the world. More than just vendors, we’re strategic allies and production-born experts who help brands own every moment — wherever they take place.

The Role

We are looking to hire a Director, Business Development to drive new business growth and expand strategic relationships across Invision’s client portfolio. In this role, you’ll play a key part in advancing Invision’s evolution from an event-focused partner into a true marketing growth engine - delivering integrated campaigns, AI-enabled solutions, and senior-level strategic value. Reporting to the SVP, Growth & Partnerships, you’ll build trusted, C-level relationships, deeply understand client business priorities, and collaborate across teams to design scalable, measurable solutions. This is a role for someone who leads with insight, brings clarity to complex challenges, and consistently turns client needs into growth opportunities - for both the client and the agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with:
    • Integrated, measurable campaign solutions
    • AI-enabled delivery and efficiency
    • C-level strategic engagement
  • Develop and execute targeted pursuit strategies for priority prospects, focusing on long-term partnerships rather than transactional work
  • Proactively initiate outreach and lead discovery conversations with senior client stakeholders
  • Build credibility with prospects through insight-led conversations that position Invision as a strategic growth partner
  • Expand revenue and influence within existing client accounts by identifying opportunities for campaign extensions, cross-channel solutions, and broader strategic engagement
  • Partner with the SVP, Growth & Partnerships to develop and execute account growth plans
  • Lead internal alignment across Strategy, Creative, Campaigns, Production, and external partners to deliver integrated solutions
  • Own and direct the proposal and pitch process, ensuring strategic clarity, strong storytelling, and alignment with client objectives and success metrics
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to execution and maintain senior-level client confidence throughout delivery
  • Participate in key client moments, including presentations, on-site engagements, and post-program reviews
  • Capture outcomes, learnings, and results to inform future proposals, case studies, and growth strategies
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and account documentation within CRM and project management systems

What Success Looks Like

  • You consistently drive new logo acquisition and qualified pipeline growth
  • Clients view you as a trusted strategic partner who understands their business and challenges
  • Opportunities extend beyond single projects into integrated, multi-channel engagements
  • Internal teams are aligned early and set up for success through clear direction and collaboration
  • Proposals and pitches elevate conversations and clearly articulate business impact
  • Client relationships grow in scope, longevity, and strategic depth

You'll Thrive If You...

  • Have a strong track record of generating campaign-led, multi-channel opportunities
  • Are comfortable engaging and influencing senior-level and C-suite stakeholders
  • Think strategically and enjoy translating complex challenges into clear solutions
  • Collaborate naturally across disciplines and bring teams together early in the process
  • Communicate with clarity, confidence, and strong storytelling skills
  • Thrive in fast-paced, evolving growth environments
  • Are motivated by creating real value for clients and measurable outcomes for the business

At Invision, this role isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about creating momentum - for our clients, our teams, and the agency as a whole.

Additional Details

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in business development, corporate communications, experiential marketing, or a related field. Experience engaging senior-level client stakeholders is preferred.
  • Travel: This role involves frequent travel. All business travel is reimbursed in accordance with federal and state guidelines.

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, we offer a base salary range of $125,000 - $165,000. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline, and actual offers may differ to account for internal equity and market conditions.

In addition to base pay, Invision provides a comprehensive package that includes multiple medical, dental, and vision plan options, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with company match, company-paid life and disability insurance, and profit-sharing opportunities. As an employee-owned company, eligible employees may also have the opportunity to share in Invision’s long-term success through discretionary ESOP allocations. We support work-life balance and wellbeing with generous paid time off, 12 annual company holidays plus a year-end office closure, a milestone recognition program, and a Family Leave Perks Program to support employees and their loved ones during life’s most important moments.
