We are seeking a high performing Director, Business Development, Danaher Diagnostics.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in aggressively growing the size of the business over the next three to five years through a combination of above-industry organic growth and strategically attractive acquisitions that will deliver strong returns on capital
  • Supporting business leaders in driving proprietary market insights including market segmentation and financial analysis
  • Serving as project leader in conducting market and target company diligence, including management of cross-functional diligence teams
  • Building an M&A funnel
  • Cultivating mid- near- and long-term target relationships

The successful candidate will:

  • Become the expert on adjacent and non-adjacent spaces through primary, proprietary market work
  • Connect disaggregated technical and commercial domains to identify sources of value
  • Distill various data inputs to succinct, proprietary insights to enable decision making
  • Rapidly identify and communicate the business levers that define winning and losing
  • Convince senior decision makers of market attractiveness
  • Partner with Danaher’s Corporate Development team to successfully execute deal

Key Requirements
The essential qualifications of the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Biology or Chemistry preferred)
  • PhD or MBA preferred
  • 3+ years in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience in business strategy or business development, with substantial acquisition diligence and financial modeling experience
  • Experience in M&A target cultivation, deal execution and integration
  • 3+ years domain experience in diagnostics industry or adjacent industry experience (e.g., medical device, life sciences, science and technology tools)
