Compensation for this role is $140,000- $200,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

As the Director for Business Development, you will lead strategic sales initiatives to drive growth for our Managed Transportation and Dedicated Transportation business unit. In addition, you will utilize your experience to expand the business into multiple geographies and industries while evaluating and implementing sales initiatives to improve win rates. We look to you to nurture RXO values, ensuring a differentiated and engaged workforce.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Partner with the Vice President for Solutions & Strategy to execute the annual sales plan including establishment of both monthly and annual sales objectives; execute Sales Plan objectives with all the relevant business units and functional departments of the company.
  • Build a pipeline and obtain sales growth goals, working to meet expectations of $10MM in gross revenue and $1.5M in EBITDA
  • Build a pipeline and obtain sales growth goals of $150M in Freight Under Management within the Managed Transportation solutions.
  • Successfully manage customer needs to meet objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies
  • Identify and develop new customers for Dedicated & Managed Solution Transportation products and services.
  • Use knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies to analyze/evaluate the effectiveness of current sales, methods, costs, and results.
  • Represent RXO at various trade shows, community events, and/or business meetings to promote the company.
  • Quarterback key customer relationships with expectations to drive growth and new business development.

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7 years sales experience in the asset based Dedicated Transportation & Managed Solutions Selling

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends; travel 75% of the time.
  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to work seamlessly with operations and execute initiatives.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally.
