Blend is a diverse team of problem solvers who believe that the world’s financial resources should be more accessible. Our cloud banking platform is used by Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, and over 330 other financial services firms to acquire more customers, increase productivity, and deliver end-to-end digital experiences. Our software enables our customers to process an average of more than $5 billion in loans per day, making it possible for consumers to reach their financial goals faster and lead better lives. Come do work that matters.

Blend is looking to hire a Director of Client Sales to oversee our entire Enterprise Client Sales organization. This role is accountable for all sales targets across our Enterprise Client Sales team who manage the relationships with our existing customers (Banks, Credit Unions (1-20B AUM) and Independent Mortgage Banks). Blend fundamentally believes that our customer’s success drives our success and this is reflected in the structure of our agreements and consumption based pricing model. Blend’s success - and the success of this role - is tied to long term customer outcomes and customer penetration

The Director of Client Sales – Enterprise will own revenue growth, retention, and expansion across Blend’s existing Enterprise and IMB customer base. This leader will manage and develop a team of Client Sales Executives responsible for deepening relationships, driving cross-sell and upsell of additional Blend products, and ensuring successful renewals.

This role is highly strategic and hands-on, partnering closely with Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to maximize customer lifetime value and long-term partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own customer acquisition and cross-sell goals across our Mortgage, Consumer Banking, and Ecosystem products for our largest customer and prospects.
  • Deeply partner with banks to grow our relationship from single-product to multi-product.
  • Help Client Sales Executives prioritize innovation and speed - they are a consultant to the banking C-suite as much as a sales leader.
  • Mentor a team of 8 Client Sales Executives to help them develop into future leaders themselves.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and scale a team of Client Sales Executives focused on existing accounts
  • Establish a high-performance, relationship-driven sales culture with clear accountability
  • Set expectations around pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and execution
  • Hire, onboard, and develop top-tier sales talent

Renewals & Retention

  • Own renewal strategy and execution, ensuring strong retention and contract growth
  • Anticipate renewal risks and proactively address customer concerns
  • Drive multi-year agreements and expansion at renewal when possible
  • Monitor churn metrics and implement improvement plans as needed

Strategy, Forecasting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Accurately forecast expansion and renewal revenue
  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize team effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, Finance, and Legal
  • Provide executive-level insights into customer trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities
  • Take an active voice in defining Blend’s strategy and market position.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in Saas Sales with 3+ years as a senior leader.
  • Track record of fostering, navigating, and unlocking complex relationships with large Banks / Credit Unions / IMB’s and selling innovative technology roadmaps.
  • Understanding of Mortgage and Consumer Banking industries is a huge plus.
  • Experience selling platform solutions (as opposed to single point solutions).
  • Exposure to consumption based pricing models.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage C-level and senior stakeholders
  • Data-driven leader with strong forecasting and operational discipline
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving growth environment

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent achievement of expansion and renewal revenue targets
  • Strong retention and customer satisfaction metrics
  • A high-performing, engaged Client Sales team
  • Deeper product adoption and broader product penetration across the customer base
  • Trusted partnerships with Blend’s most strategic customers
