About the Role

The Director, Clinical Product & Value Strategy will provide the clinical and healthcare economics lens for the One Pass+ Access to Value transformation. This role ensures that new concepts, proof of concepts (PoCs), and scalable capabilities are clinically credible, economically sound, and aligned with how health plans evaluate value—particularly through HEDIS, Stars, quality programs, and condition management strategies.

Sitting within Strategic Partnerships, this role will drive new capability design, test hypotheses, and de risk innovation. The role bridges product development, clinical rigor, and payer economics, serving as a key liaison between Strategic Partnerships, healthcare economics stakeholders, and external clinical buyers.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Product Leadership

  • Apply a clinical product lens to the design and evaluation of One Pass+ concepts and proof of concepts.

  • Ensure that solutions are grounded in credible clinical frameworks while remaining lightweight enough to test and iterate.

  • Guide definition of clinical outcomes, target populations, and use cases (e.g., mobility, MSK, chronic condition support).

  • Balance speed of learning with the level of rigor required to earn health plan credibility.

Health Plan & Clinical Buyer Perspective

  • Represent the perspective of clinical buyers at health plans, including: Medical Officers overseeing HEDIS and Stars, and leaders responsible for condition management and managed care programs

  • Translate One Pass+ concepts into language and value cases that resonate with payer clinical leadership.

  • Identify where and how programs could support quality, risk adjustment, or utilization reduction strategies.

Quality, HEDIS, and Stars Alignment

  • Lead proof of concept product incorporating: HEDIS measures, Medicare Stars domains, Quality improvement initiatives

  • Help define what evidence or signal is needed (vs. not needed) to advance concepts internally or externally.

  • Partner with internal healthcare economics stakeholders to pressure test assumptions.

Evidence & Clinical Rigor

  • Support development of evidence strategies, including: Practical outcome measures, observational study designs, and alignment with prior clinical literature where relevant.

  • Understand and incorporate product design with what it takes to gain health plan approval without over-engineering early pilots.

  • Ensure that innovation efforts are defensible from a clinical and medical governance standpoint.

Product & Innovation Execution

  • Contribute to work backwards product development, from lighthouse vision through PoCs.

  • Help translate pilot learnings into scalable clinical product requirements.

  • Operate comfortably in ambiguity—testing, learning, and refining rather than waiting for perfect answers.

  • Partner closely with fitness innovation counterparts to ensure clinical and operational feasibility align.

About You

You are fluent in both clinical and payer language yet brings a pragmatic, forward-thinking approach to innovation. You understand how health plans assess value without defaulting to over-clinicalization, and you approach challenges with a product mindset rather than a policy lens. Energized by early-stage concepts and rapid learning cycles, you are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can move initiatives forward responsibly even when full clarity isn’t available. You serve as a trusted bridge between innovation teams and healthcare economics, translating insights into meaningful, scalable solutions that drive impact.

Required Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of professional experience in healthcare, digital health, or managed care, 10 years of experience total.

  • Experience as a Product Manager or Product Leader for a digital health or condition management solution (e.g., diabetes, MSK, cardiovascular)

  • Strong understanding of:

    • HEDIS and Medicare Stars

    • Health plan quality programs

    • Clinical and medical decision-making frameworks

  • Familiarity with how health plans evaluate clinical value and ROI

  • Experience collaborating with clinical stakeholders (Medical Directors, CMOs, quality leaders)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working at a health plan, digital health product, or with payer clients

  • Exposure to clinical studies, pilots, or evidence generation for health plan approval

  • Experience supporting value based care, population health, or outcomes-based programs

  • Clinical background or advanced degree (RN, APRN, PharmD, MPH, etc.) a plus but not required
