About Reunion

Reunion is transforming the way clean energy projects are financed. Since 2024, our tax credit transfer business has partnered with major corporations to unlock over $8 billion in clean energy investment, including some of the industry's largest transactions. Our compliance business is building disruptive software for developers to track operations and ensure regulatory compliance.

Reunion has built a consistently profitable company, focused on building for the long term. We raised a small seed round of funding in 2023, and have since repaid our investors in full. We do not have pressure from VCs or outside investors to chase short-term targets; we have the autonomy to focus on building a great long-term business. Reunion's laser focus on solving tough problems has resulted in repeat customers and strong profitability since 2024.

We have worked hard to build a mission-driven company culture that values creativity, collaboration, excellence, and speed without sacrificing fun. Our talented team includes experienced leaders from SunEdison, SolarCity, Tesla, GoodLeap, and other clean energy companies; we are consistently amazed by what our 30+ person team of experts can accomplish.

We look for curious, smart, and kind colleagues with an entrepreneurial streak (we have quite a few ex-entrepreneurs on our team). Reunion is a great place to learn from energy finance experts and play a critical role in deploying clean energy technologies such as battery storage, nuclear, manufacturing, solar, and wind.

About the role

As we scale rapidly to meet demand, we’re looking for an execution-driven Director, Origination to lead high-impact transactions and uncover new growth opportunities through partnerships.

This is a high-upside opportunity for a deal-maker at heart who thrives in high-stakes negotiations, and will work alongside leadership on our most important transactions and partnerships. This role requires sharp analytical instincts with a bias for action: someone who takes ownership, moves fast, and delivers on large, complex projects.

What You’ll Do

Lead strategic transactions

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to tax and finance leaders at Fortune 500 companies, guiding them through their first or largest tax credit purchases

  • Source, qualify, and prioritize origination opportunities across clean energy developers and manufacturers

  • Own the negotiation of complex, multi-hundred-million-dollar tax credit transactions, keeping deals on track and resolving issues proactively

Build partnerships and pipeline

  • Build the partnership playbook, defining who to engage, how and when

  • Manage and grow a book of relationships with tax credit investors, project developers, and industry partners

  • Represent Reunion at industry events and client visits

  • Translate market feedback into recommendations that sharpen our origination strategy and offerings

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, deal-focused environment such as financial services or a fast-growing startup

  • Track record of owning outcomes, spotting issues early, and driving solutions in customer-facing environments

  • Experience leading complex negotiations or transactions from first conversation to close

  • Very high attention to detail paired with sharp written and verbal communication

  • A growth mindset and the drive to go above and beyond — you seek out steep learning curves and run toward big challenges

  • NOTE: Reunion is an equal opportunity employer. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't line up exactly with the job description

Nice to haves
  • Professional experience in clean energy finance

Why join us?
  • Help scale one of the most exciting and impactful clean energy finance companies

  • Work directly with experienced founders and a top-tier team

  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Travel to company offsites 2-3x per year to meet teammates in-person

  • Flexible PTO plan

Location
  • We are a remote-first company, but for this role we prefer a candidate that is located in San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, or Seattle, WA
