The opportunity
Unity (NYSE: U) is dedicated to creating immersive and engaging experiences for developers, creators and players worldwide. We are seeking a Director, Content Marketing to lead our marketing efforts, spearhead our content initiatives and elevate our brand presence across gaming and other industries, particularly through the innovative use of artificial intelligence. Reporting into VP, Go to Market, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that resonates with our audiences and drives engagement, retention, and brand loyalty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content marketing, a deep understanding of the landscapes of game development, ads and industry verticals, and experience leveraging AI to enhance content creation and distribution.

What you'll be doing

  • Be a trusted partner and advisor to company wide leadership across our Ads and SaaS (Game Development, Industry) businesses
  • Define unique Content strategies for integrated marketing and demand generation campaigns in partnership with your peers in Product Marketing and Integrated Marketing
  • Collaborate with Comms, Brand Studio, and other marketing teams to align content with key campaigns.
  • Identify key themes and topics that engage our audience, leveraging market research and user insights.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform content strategies and optimize engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Explore and implement AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation, personalization, and distribution efficiency.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality content, including ebooks, articles, videos, webinars, social media posts, and marketing collateral that work hard for integrated marketing and demand generation.
  • Ensure all content maintains the brand voice and adheres to quality standards.
  • Partner with game developers, artists, and Industry professionals to create authentic and relatable content that highlights game features, Industry use cases, ads and monetization offerings and community engagement.
  • Monitor community feedback, content performance and trends to adjust content strategies accordingly.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in content marketing, with at least three (3) years in the gaming industry
  • Understanding of demand generation campaigns, experience creating content strategy in line with such campaigns, and executing at scale
  • Proven experience in leveraging AI technologies for content creation and marketing optimization.
  • Strong understanding of gaming culture, trends, and audience preferences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio demonstrating content expertise.
  • Proficient in content management systems, SEO best practices, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to learn with changing times and new frontiers of marketing.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring marketing teams to achieve strategic goals.
