The Snap Communications team shapes how the world understands Snap. We tell the stories behind our business, products, and technology—building trust with Snapchatters, advertisers, partners, investors, policymakers, the media, and our own team.

We're looking for a Director of Corporate & Brand Communications to be a strategic leader and operator who helps shape Snap's business narrative and reputation. This role will partner closely with leaders across Snap to develop integrated communications strategies that advance Snap's business priorities and strengthen how the company is understood, reporting to the VP of Communications.

This is a senior leadership role based in Los Angeles / Santa Monica for someone with exceptional judgment, outstanding writing skills, strong media instincts, and a modern communications mindset. The right person is equally comfortable developing strategy, leading through ambiguity, managing teams, and rolling up their sleeves to execute. They should bring creativity, operational rigor, and a collaborative leadership style that raises the bar for the entire Communications organization.

What you'll do

  • Help define and execute Snap's corporate and brand communications strategy across key company milestones and moments.

  • Partner closely across Snap cross-functional leadership to tell compelling stories about Snap's business momentum and long-term vision.

  • Develop communications strategies that combine earned and new media, across direct and owned channels, social platforms, and other formats.

  • Lead complex media situations with sound judgment, proactive planning, and rapid execution.

  • Manage, coach, and develop team members while creating clarity, alignment, and a collaborative, high-performing culture.

  • Serve as a trusted counselor to senior executives, helping prepare leaders for high-impact communications moments.

  • Build strong relationships with top-tier media and new media while helping evolve how Snap reaches audiences directly.

  • Improve how the Communications team operates through scalable processes, better cross-functional coordination, and new ways of working that leave room for creativity and experimentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Significant experience leading corporate, executive, and brand communications at a public company or high-growth technology business.

  • Strong understanding of business communications, financial communications, executive visibility, reputation management, and more.

  • Collaborative, low-ego leader and people manager who builds trust across organizations, develops talent, and helps teams work effectively together.

  • Experience developing integrated communications strategies across earned and new media, owned channels, executive communications, podcasts, events, video, and social platforms.

  • Strong understanding of how modern communications is evolving beyond traditional media.

  • Exceptional judgment in ambiguous, high-pressure moments and environments.

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex business issues.

  • Creative, resourceful, and comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

  • Passion for innovation, technology, and helping shape the public understanding of one of the world's most influential consumer technology companies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years of communications, public relations, corporate communications, or related experience.

  • 7+ years managing people and leading communications teams.

  • Experience in communications leadership at a public company or similarly complex organization.

  • Experience with financial communications, executive communications, business media, and reputation management.
