The Director, Corporate FP&A leads financial planning processes, collaborates with functional leaders, and provides analysis to drive financial performance in a biotechnology setting.
We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Director, Corporate FP&A, to help drive the company’s operational and financial performance in a fast-paced, scaling biotech environment.
This role will lead core FP&A processes, including annual planning, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews, and serve as a trusted partner to functional leaders across Manufacturing, R&D, Commercial, and G&A.
The Director will deliver actionable insights to support decision-making in a capital-intensive, project-driven business.
The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment, brings a strong analytical mindset, and can translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead corporate financial planning processes, including annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and monthly budget-to-actual analysis
- Partner with department leaders to align headcount, operating expenses, and capital investments with company milestones
- Build and maintain financial models for cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range planning
- Provide analysis to evaluate manufacturing cost structures, R&D investment priorities, and commercial launch economics
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports with performance commentary for leadership
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate month-end close and reporting
- Support the preparation of Board and investor materials, including financial updates and KPI's
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, process efficiency, and data integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant demonstrated financial and leadership experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or manufacturing
- Extensive experience with SAP or other relevant ERP solutions
- Experience with analysis tools and databases such as Power Query, Python, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, and Tableau
- Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail and the willingness to be in a hands-on position
- Deep understanding of industry financials
- Proven track record of financial leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners
