COMPANY: Canoe Intelligence
WEBSITE: https://canoeintelligence.com/
TITLE: Director of Corporate Marketing
LOCATION: New York City (hybrid)
SALARY:$145,000 - $175,000 base salary + bonus
The Role:
As the Director of Corporate Marketing at Canoe Intelligence, you are the architect of our global brand identity and the lead strategist for our voice in the market. In this role you will elevate Canoe's presence by overseeing our content ecosystem, global media relations, and brand integrity.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategist who excels at execution. You will define our global narrative and ensure that every LinkedIn post, press release, and website update meets our standard of excellence. Serving as the primary steward for the Canoe brand, you will ensure a unified experience for our clients and prospects across all marketing and sales touchpoints.
What You'll Do:
  • Global Narrative & Content Strategy: Develop and oversee the overarching roadmap that positions Canoe as a thought leader in the alternative investment space.
  • Revenue Team Alignment: Partner closely with Sales, Relationship Management (RM), and Business Development to extract market insights and "front-line" feedback to ensure our content strategy addresses real-world client pain points.
  • Ecosystem Storytelling: Architect a strategy for capturing and promoting high-impact client and partner stories. Collaborate with the Relationship Management and Partnerships teams to transform successful implementations and joint ventures into compelling case studies, webinars, and co-branded content.
  • Media & PR Management: Guide our media strategy by managing two PR agencies (US and London). You will be the primary point of contact for external communications and global press opportunities.
  • Brand Stewardship: Act as the final authority for brand applications across the website, sales collateral, and digital channels to ensure visual and verbal consistency.
  • Social Media & Advocacy: Manage Canoe's corporate social presence and lead our internal advocacy program to empower employees as brand ambassadors.
  • External Profile Management: Optimize third-party vendor profiles (e.g., G2, industry directories) to ensure our market-facing data is accurate and compelling.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with the Directors of GTM, Product Marketing, and EMEA Marketing to provide the high-quality content and creative direction required to drive global pipeline.
  • AI-Enabled Execution: Consistently leverage AI tools to scale content production, sentiment analysis, and brand monitoring to increase operational efficiency.
  • Vendor Leadership: Manage a specialized roster of external talent, including PR agencies, graphic design consultants, and freelance content writers.

What We're Looking For:
  • Industry Expertise: A minimum of 8+ years of marketing experience within Alternative Investments, FinTech, or Financial Services is required. You must understand the complexity of the private markets and the nuances of our audience.
  • Strategic Execution: A proven track record of moving from high-level brand strategy to tactical delivery without the need for a large internal team.
  • Sales & RM Fluency: Experience collaborating with revenue-facing teams to translate technical product value into compelling, high-impact stories, with a proven ability to interview clients and partners to extract and articulate value-driven narratives.
  • Media Savvy: Experience managing external agencies and a strong understanding of how to build relationships with financial and tech trade publications.
  • Brand Authority: A keen eye for design and a mastery of copywriting and editing. You should have a high bar for what constitutes "excellent" work.
  • AI Literacy: Practical experience using AI to work smarter-whether for research, content drafting, or workflow automation.
  • Collaborative Leadership: The ability to influence and partner with peer Directors to ensure global brand alignment.

What You'll Get:
  • Medical, dental, vision benefits
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible work from home policy
  • Home office stipend
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Gym/Wifi reimbursement
  • Education assistance
  • Parental Leave

Our Values:
  • Client First -> Listen, and deliver client-centric solutions
  • Be An Owner -> Take initiative, improve situations, drive positive outcomes
  • Excellence -> Always set the highest standard for yourself and others
  • Win Together -> 1 + 1 = 3
