Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  We are currently looking for a Director, Customer Quality – Worldwide MOSFETs to join our growing team This position is based in San Jose, California and may be remote.

 The Director, of Customer Quality – Worldwide MOSFETs is responsible for leading global customer quality strategy and execution for the company’s MOSFET product portfolio. This role serves as the senior quality interface to key customers, ensuring rapid issue resolution, sustained quality performance, and continuous improvement across design, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

This position owns customer quality readiness across the product lifecycle, including full accountability for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) execution and compliance for automotive and other high-reliability customers. The Director partners closely with R&D, Product Marketing, Operations, Foundry/OSAT partners, and Sales to drive customer confidence, prevent quality escapes, and embed a proactive, prevention-based quality culture worldwide.

What you will be doing:Customer Quality Leadership
  • Serve as the global executive owner for MOSFET customer quality, acting as the primary escalation point for strategic customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers’ quality, reliability, and engineering leadership.
  • Lead customer audits, executive quality reviews, and performance governance forums.
PPAP & Product Quality Readiness
  • Own global PPAP strategy, execution, and governance for MOSFET products across automotive and high-reliability markets.
  • Ensure on-time, first-pass PPAP approvals for new product introductions, technology migrations, fab transfers, and process changes.
  • Define PPAP requirements, evidence standards, and approval workflows aligned with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Partner with R&D, Operations, and Product Marketing to ensure design, process, and reliability readiness prior to customer submission.
  • Lead risk assessments, control plans, and readiness reviews to prevent late-stage quality issues and launch delays.
Issue Management & Escalation
  • Own end-to-end customer issue resolution (8D, RCCA, CAPA), including field returns, reliability incidents, and quality excursions.
  • Drive cross-functional containment, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions with clear accountability.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and customer-ready communication throughout issue resolution cycles.
Global Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and deploy global customer quality standards, metrics, and best practices for MOSFET products.
  • Drive systemic improvements to reduce customer complaints, RMAs, quality escapes, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
  • Champion preventive quality methodologies including DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, and design-for-reliability.
Cross-Functional & Supply Chain Collaboration
  • Partner with R&D and Product Marketing to incorporate customer and field feedback into design and roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal manufacturing sites, foundries, and OSAT partners to ensure robust process control and PPAP alignment.
  • Ensure supplier quality issues are addressed with urgency, rigor, and sustainable corrective actions.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead and develop a global customer quality organization, including regional quality managers and engineers.
  • Set clear priorities, performance goals, and accountability across regions and product lines.
  • Build a high-engagement, customer-centric quality culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
Metrics, Reporting & Governance
  • Define and track KPIs such as customer PPM, PPAP on-time approval, RMA trends, response time, audit performance, and COPQ.
  • Provide regular executive-level updates on customer quality health, risks, PPAP status, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support business reviews and contribute to product lifecycle, change management, and risk mitigation decisions.
What will you bring along:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in semiconductor quality, reliability, or manufacturing, including customer-facing roles
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience at manager or director level
  • Strong technical understanding of MOSFET devices, power semiconductor manufacturing, and reliability mechanisms
  • Demonstrated expertise in PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949, and customer-specific automotive requirements
  • Proven experience leading customer issue resolution using 8D, RCCA, and CAPA methodologies
  • Experience working with global manufacturing sites and external foundry/OSAT partners
  • Excellent executive communication and customer engagement skills
Preferred
  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience supporting automotive, industrial, or other high-reliability markets
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent quality certification
  • Experience leading worldwide or matrixed organizations

Pay Range: 200k-260k
