We are looking for a Director of Customer Success who combines deep semiconductor expertise with the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with companies.
The ideal candidate is someone who brings both technical depth and executive presence to every interaction. You will lead a team of application engineers (with backgrounds in Physical Design) and own the end-to-end customer experience at our most strategic account.
Position location: Our offices in Santa Clara
Requirements• 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry — Physical Design (PD) and/or Design Verification (DV) background strongly preferred
• Proven experience managing and leading technical teams
• Track record of owning and growing strategic customer relationships at large semiconductor companies or hyperscalers
• Ability to operate at both the technical and executive level — equally comfortable in a design review and a business QBR
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team of Customer Success / Application Engineers with PD backgrounds
- Own the technical relationship with key strategic accounts — serve as the senior point of contact and trusted advisor
- Drive customer onboarding, adoption, and long-term success with proteanTecs' product
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and partner with the sales team to drive growth
- Translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions, working closely with product and R&D teams
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships at customer organizations
- Define and track KPIs for customer health, satisfaction, and retention
- Represent the voice of the customer internally — influence product roadmap and prioritization
- Manage cross-functional engagements including FAE, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and R&D
- Travel to customer sites as required (domestic and international, up to 20%)
