The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Director, Data Analytics & Insights to Lead IJM’s global understanding of audiences and donors by developing and evolving segmentation frameworks, donor motivation models, and behavioral insights that guide marketing and fundraising decision‑making and translate donor‑centered insights into strategic direction that informs global briefs, campaign and fundraising frameworks, message development, and actionable recommendations that enable fundraisers to strengthen relationships and increase revenue.

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Chief Data & Technology officer and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, own, steward, and implement insight-driven development methodology, ensuring all major initiatives are grounded in audience understanding, learning agendas, and evidence-based planning;

  • Inform and advise stakeholders by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions;

  • Lead and direct global workflow, prioritization, and project management for the marketing leadership office, enabling clarity, momentum, and disciplined execution across complex initiatives;

  • Build and engage cross-functional relationships to foster adoption of analytics tools and promote a data-informed culture;

  • Produce foresight, trend, and learning reports that help the organization anticipate cultural, generational, and sector shifts and adapt strategy accordingly; and

  • Participation in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to translate human insights, behavioral research, and audience understanding into clear, actionable strategy and creative direction;

  • Demonstrated expertise in segmentation, journey mapping, trend analysis, and insight synthesis that shapes global marketing approaches;

  • Strong strategic leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex decision-making and planning processes;

  • Exceptional organizational, workflow, and project management capabilities, enabling clarity, alignment, and forward momentum at a leadership level;

  • Ability to build and scale an insight-driven culture, embedding learning, curiosity, and evidence-based thinking into how teams operate and make decisions; and

  • Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed.

What is a statement of faith? A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
