Director, Data Product Management
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Data Product Management leads product strategy, resource allocation, and product-level financials. This role oversees the development and execution of data-driven products and insights. This role sets strategic objectives, leads the Data Product Management function and team, and drives initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. Additionally, the role supports sales and marketing efforts to maximize revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Defines and evolve product strategy, roadmaps, and capital allocation to drive portfolio outcomes and product-line P&L performance
· Engages with customers and partners to develop and refine portfolio strategy and validate product decisions
· Partners with Engineering to build out new Insights products
· Expected to partner with Sales and Marketing to drive revenue
· Responsible for communicating solutions to user problems with individual contributors and necessary teams
· Develops presentations to summarize and communicate key messages to senior management sponsors and colleagues
· Represents MeridianLink Insights products externally, such as at conferences
· Leads engagement with Insights and Business Intelligence software partners
· Responsible for coordinating across several stakeholders and departments to define and align on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) where applicable
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
· 3-5 years in a product management role with a portfolio of successful, large-scale data insights and management initiatives
· Ability to create and manage effective Go-to-Market strategies to ensure the successful adoption of new product offerings
· Strong SQL, Excel, and quantitative skills as well as experience with big data and/or complex data sets
· Ability to provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established MeridianLink policies
· Ability to make decisions that impact others in the immediate team and influence methods and techniques
· Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors
· Ability to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
· Ability to develop and manage operational initiatives to deliver tactical results
· Ability to effectively communicate and present results and recommendations across discipline
· Expected to manage the activities of multiple sections or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and/or professionals
· Establish and analyze metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the product with the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into a structured, conceptual framework
· Ability to formulate decisions and analytics strategy for a specific decision product and generate revenue
· Ability to develop complex decisioning solutions for a couple of key lending products and articulate the solutions to FI clients and internal stakeholders including Product teams, Client Services, Sales, and Engineering teams
