We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Demand Planning to lead our enterprise demand planning function. This role is critical to driving forecast accuracy, improving service levels, and enabling effective inventory and financial outcomes across our portfolio of brands and channels. As the Director of Demand Planning, you will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain leaders to deliver a reliable demand signal and support our S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the end-to-end demand planning process across brands, categories, and channels
- Own the monthly demand planning and S&OP / IBP demand review cadence
- Develop accurate, unbiased demand forecasts using statistical models, market intelligence, and cross-functional inputs
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to incorporate promotions, new product launches, and customer insights
- Collaborate with Finance to align demand forecasts with budgets, financial outlooks, and scenario planning
- Enable Supply Planning with a reliable demand signal to support service, capacity, and inventory objectives
- Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and key performance metrics; lead root-cause analysis and improvement actions
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of demand planners
- Own demand planning tools and work with IT/Data teams to drive automation, analytics, and system enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles within a CPG environment
- Proven experience leading S&OP or IBP processes
- Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, and/or direct-to-consumer demand drivers
- Experience with demand planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Anaplan)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing abilities
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach
- Proven change leadership and continuous improvement capability
- Occasional travel to supplier sites or manufacturing Locations up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience managing demand planning across multiple brands or channels
- Experience working with Confido a plus
- Exposure to advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven forecasting
- Demonstrated success improving forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory performance
- Experience in the food industry
