About the role.
Reporting to the VP Digital Technology Strategy and Transformation, the Director, Digital Technology Operations serves as a critical operational partner to the Chief Technology Information Officer, ensuring the smooth running of the digital technology function. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our digital transformation journey. Ideal for professionals with a consulting, advisory, or transformation leadership background.
This highly visible role combines direct operational support, executive-level communication, and the ability to lead special projects that deliver business value. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented, action-driven individual who excels at coordinating complex activities, preparing high-quality executive documents, and advancing strategic priorities through practical execution.
As a highly visible individual contributor, you will steer high-impact projects, craft executive communications, and ensure operational continuity across digital programs, making a measurable difference on strategic initiatives and board-level priorities.
What you'll be doing.
Executive Communications & Reporting
  • Develop and deliver high-quality executive-level materials: Board presentations, strategic updates, business case summaries, and progress reports.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives and data visualizations for senior audiences.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
  • Design, launch, and execute critical, time-bound projects-ranging from digital transformation accelerators to long-term process improvement initiatives.
  • Set project direction, frame issues, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive projects to successful outcomes.

Operational and Leadership Team Support
  • Ensure day-to-day operational excellence for the digital technology leadership team by proactively addressing issues, streamlining workflows, and enabling agile decision making.
  • Prepare for and facilitate leadership meetings, strategic workshops, and executive offsites-including agenda design, materials development, and action tracking.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Foster transparent, collaborative relationships across business units, technology teams, and external partners.
  • Serve as a central point for alignment, communication, and escalation-balancing strategic goals with practical realities.

Process & Performance Improvement
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend pragmatic solutions to enhance productivity, service quality, and end-user experience.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of KPIs and develop proposals for targeted enhancements.

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or relevant Master's) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in management consulting (Big 4, strategy consultancies, or boutique advisory), corporate strategy, or chief of staff operations within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success delivering executive communications, board-level analysis, or strategic project workstreams.
  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills; proven ability to synthesize data and deliver high-impact presentations.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple, competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity, delivery focus, and a collaborative style are essential.
  • Previous exposure to digital/IT, supply chain, or consumer goods environments an advantage.

Compensation Package : $165,000.00 - $220,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus eligibility + Long-term incentive eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
