🚀 Why Join OpenArt

  • Lead FP&A at a critical inflection point. You will help shape how OpenArt plans, invests, and manages its next stage of growth.

  • Build the financial foundation for a category-defining company. You will develop the models, systems, and insights required to support rapid channel and global expansion.

  • Work on high-impact operating decisions. You will partner directly with finance and business leaders on growth investment, pricing, headcount, and resource allocation.

🎯 About the Role

  • The Director of FP&A will lead OpenArt’s financial planning and analysis through our next stage of growth. Reporting to the CFO, you will own budgeting, forecasting, operating models, scenario analysis, headcount planning, performance reporting, and long-range planning.

  • You will build a scalable FP&A function and give the company clear visibility into its performance, unit economics, and cash flow. You will be both a strategic business partner and a hands-on operator—equally comfortable building an operating model, reviewing the books with Accounting, evaluating a growth investment, and explaining what is changing in the business and why.

  • The ideal candidate brings meaningful operating-finance leadership at a high-growth technology company. You are financially and technically sharp, deeply understand the business behind the numbers, and turn complex data into clear recommendations and better decisions.

⚙️ What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience across FP&A, strategic finance, accounting, or related analytical and finance roles

  • Experience supporting a business with significant revenue, operating complexity, and substantial multi-channel marketing investment

  • Deep experience with budgeting, forecasting, operating models, scenario analysis, and long-range planning

  • Strong command of financial statements and accounting principles, with the ability to reconcile operating analysis to the books

  • Strong understanding of consumer subscription metrics, cohort analysis, unit economics, cash management, and resource allocation

  • Experience partnering with Growth on channel performance, acquisition budgets, customer value, and investment returns

  • Ability to understand the business deeply and translate product, growth, pricing, and cost dynamics into financial plans and operating recommendations

  • Experience building FP&A processes, reporting, and team capabilities

  • Highly hands-on and able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and influence business leaders

  • AI-native in how you approach analysis, automation, reporting, and team productivity

Nice to Have

  • Operating-finance leadership experience at a high-growth technology or consumer subscription company, with meaningful ownership of FP&A through a period of rapid expansion

  • Investment banking, growth equity experience or other rigorous analytical training

🛠 What You’ll Do

  • Lead FP&A: Own budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, headcount planning, performance reporting, and long-range planning.

  • Build the Operating Model: Connect acquisition, retention, pricing, usage, revenue, costs, and cash flow in an integrated financial model, grounded in a clear understanding of the books and reconciled to actual financial results.

  • Drive Business Performance: Improve pricing, unit economics, gross margin, and resource allocation through actionable financial analysis.

  • Guide Investments: Evaluate growth and operating investments, set budgets, assess expected returns, and track financial impact to guide resource allocation.

  • Own Management Financial Reporting: Deliver clear, decision-oriented reporting, explain variances and business drivers, and support board reporting.

  • Build Scalable Systems: Improve the models, data, reporting, and automation required to support rapid growth.

  • Develop the FP&A Function: Establish practical processes and build a high-performing team as the business scales.
