About Givzey / Version2.ai

Join the Future of Fundraising at Givzey!

Givzey is one of the fastest-growing and most innovative technology companies serving the nonprofit sector, on a mission to unlock more generosity through AI-powered donor engagement. At the center of that innovation is Version2.ai, the world’s first Autonomous AI fundraisers—Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs)—designed to independently manage donor engagement and generate revenue. Unlike traditional AI tools that simply make staff more efficient, VEOs expand fundraising capacity by acting as AI workers that operate donor portfolios, build relationships, and secure gifts on their own. In just three years, Givzey’s platform has already helped organizations raise $10M+ through autonomous engagement, including individual gifts as large as $100,000. Alongside this breakthrough technology, Givzey’s Gift Agreement Platform modernizes the multi-year giving process, enabling nonprofits to secure, manage, and forecast commitments with unprecedented ease.

About the role

Version2.ai's Virtual Engagement Officer is deployed across 200+ fundraising organizations — universities, nonprofits, healthcare foundations. It has over 1M activities, 100k engagement, and is approaching $20M in gifts. With these results come gift size changes, lapsed donor recovery, cadence performance, segment behavior, donor renewal rates.

We're creating a new role — Director of Fundraising Intelligence — to own that market data from analysis to publication. This person  will conduct  meaningful market analysis, arm our Sales and Customer Success teams with statistical firepower, and add value for our customers by providing deeper insights into benchmarks for success. This critical role will build on Version2.ai's reputation as the most credible, data-driven voice in autonomous fundraising.

This is not a back-office analytics role. Half the job is the work; the other half is standing in front of a room and delivering it. We need someone who is as comfortable at a conference podium as they are in a spreadsheet.

What You'll Own

Collective Insights (External/Marketing)

  • Identify cross-cutting insights about autonomous AI in fundraising and partner closely with our marketing team to share with our audience.
  • Develop original research: benchmarks, trend reports, sector comparisons, giving behavior analysis
  • An example of the output we're after: we know that one-third of donors who give through the VEO increase their gift by 65%. We need dozens more findings like that — statistically sound, clearly framed, and ready for publication
  • Maintain intellectual rigor and align with fundraising standards — this research only has value if the sector trusts it

Public Voice & Thought Leadership

  • Work closely with VP of Marketing to develop and execute a strategy to establish Version2.ai as the sector's most trusted source of data and insight on autonomous AI in fundraising
  • Partner with marketing on session submission and delivery of speaking engagements at major advancement and fundraising conferences.
  • Write and publish original research, blog posts, LinkedIn content, and white papers in close coordination with Marketing
  • Build and cultivate your personal presence on LinkedIn around this content
  • Build a public-facing identity that is recognized as credible and independent — someone the sector reads and cites, not just a vendor with a slide deck
  • Coordinate all external content and positioning with the Marketing team to ensure consistency with brand and campaign strategy

Client-Level Insights (Internal)

  • Analyze gift data across individual client deployments to surface meaningful performance metrics for individual customers
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers and the Expansion AE to build data-backed business cases for additional VEO deployments at existing clients
  • Translate raw numbers into narratives a VP of Advancement or Chief Development Officer will find compelling — not just accurate, but persuasive
  • Develop a repeatable insight framework and tools so every CSM can walk into a strategic account review with a data story

New Logo Sales Support

  • Partner with AEs to build customized ROI cases for prospects
  • Model projected outcomes based on comparable client performance
  • Participate in late-stage prospect conversations as needed.
Who You'll Work With

You report to the VP of Sales and operate as a shared resource across three functions:

  • Customer Success — your closest day-to-day partners on client insight work and expansion support
  • Sales — arming new logo AEs with prospect-level data analysis and supporting the Expansion AE on upsell business cases
  • Marketing — coordinating all thought leadership, publication, and conference strategy

This role has no direct reports at launch. You are the function. You build the playbook.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years working with fundraising or advancement data — as a practitioner, analyst, or researcher in the nonprofit, higher education, or healthcare philanthropy space
  • Deep fluency in the metrics that matter to advancement leaders: gift upgrades, major gift pipeline, lapse and reactivation, planned giving indicators, and donor renewal rates
  • Strong quantitative skills — you can build and QA an analysis, identify statistical significance, and know when a finding is real vs. noise
  • Exceptional communication skills — written and verbal. You can explain a complex data finding to a Chief Development Officer in two sentences and to a conference audience of 500 in twenty minutes
  • Demonstrated public speaking experience — conference presentations, webinars, panel participation, or equivalent
  • Comfortable operating without a fully built infrastructure — this role is greenfield and you'll be creating process, not inheriting it
  • Proficiency in data tools beyond Excel — Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or similar
  • Proven experience utilizing AI to assist in data projects.

Nice to Have

  • Experience publishing original research, white papers, or thought leadership content in the fundraising or nonprofit sector
  • Existing relationships or reputation within the advancement community — CASE Summit, AFP ICON, or AHP membership or involvement
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or automation in a fundraising context
  • Experience working at or with a SaaS company serving the nonprofit or higher education sector
What This Is Not

This is not a pure data science role. We don't need someone who wants to spend 100% of their time building models. If you're most comfortable behind a screen and the idea of a conference keynote sounds like a nightmare, this isn't the right fit.
