Role Overview

Global Business Applications Presales & Solutioning (Microsoft Dynamics / BizApps)

Title: Director 

This role leads a strategic, high-impact team of architects responsible for shaping, selling, and realizing complex Microsoft Business Applications solutions across enterprise and upper mid-market clients.

Operating at the intersection of presales, solution architecture, and delivery, this leader drives architecture as a discipline—helping clients envision the art of the possible within the sales cycle, while ensuring solutions are grounded, executable, and outcome-driven. They play a hands-on role in defining transformational solutions, guiding pursuits, and staying engaged through delivery to ensure vision becomes reality.

This individual brings deep enterprise architecture experience and a proven ability to translate technical depth to business outcomes for clear, compelling, and deliverable solutions across Microsoft and adjacent technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Presales Architecture & Pursuit Leadership

  • Lead presales architecture across strategic pursuits, shaping client vision and defining innovative, outcome-oriented solutions.
  • Partner with sales, architects, and executive leadership to help clients understand the art of the possible through Microsoft Business Applications and adjacent technologies.
  • Accountable for end-to-end solutioning, including architecture design, storytelling, estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), and executive presentations.
  • Establish and elevate presales architecture as a repeatable capability, improving processes, tools, and deliverables.
  • Actively engage in priority pursuits, serving as the senior architectural voice in deal strategy and client discussions.

Solution Strategy & Architecture Leadership

  • Define and drive the overall solution architecture strategy across Microsoft Business Applications.
  • Architect complex, enterprise-grade solutions spanning Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms.
  • Ensure alignment between presales vision and delivery execution, maintaining architectural integrity throughout the lifecycle.
  • Serve as a senior authority for solution quality, scalability, and innovation.

Offer Development & Innovation

  • Develop and scale differentiated offerings that combine technology, industry insight, and delivery excellence.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging client needs to shape new go-to-market motions.
  • Create commercial models and delivery enablement assets to support scalable growth.
  • Identify and integrate advanced capabilities (including AI and agentic solutions) into both client offerings
  • Contribute to industry-focused intellectual property (IP) development.

Delivery Engagement & Methodology

  • Lead the development of internal agentic/AI and other toolings to secure quality outcomes for clients.
  • Stay actively engaged in key client engagements to ensure solutions are delivered as envisioned during presales.
  • Act as an executive sponsor and/or hands-on contributor on strategic accounts.
  • Partner with leadership to evolve and improve delivery methodologies and best practices.
  • Bridge presales and delivery, ensuring continuity, accountability, and successful outcomes.

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead and mentor a global team of technical and functional architects.
  • Build and mature presales architecture and solutioning capabilities across the organization.
  • Act as a technical fellow, elevating Dynamics and broader solutioning expertise across teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and architectural excellence.

Ecosystem Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Engage deeply within the Microsoft ecosystem across industries and solution areas.
  • Act as an internal and external thought leader, representing the organization in client engagements, webinars, and industry events.
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships and enhance market presence through active engagement and visibility.

Ideal Profile

  • Proven experience as an enterprise architect or senior solution leader in complex, enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Business Applications (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, etc.).
  • Strong track record leading presales architecture and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Ability to inspire clients by connecting vision (“art of the possible”) with practical execution.
  • Experience bridging pre-sales and delivery with accountability for outcomes.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
