The Director, Global Performance Marketing, is responsible for the vision, strategy, and global execution of Atlas HXM’s demand generation engine. This role, reporting to the VP of Global Growth Marketing, operates at the intersection of data-driven performance, business strategy, and people leadership—accountable for building and scaling a high-performing team, owning significant media investment, and directly influencing pipeline and revenue outcomes at a global level.

The Director will set the multi-year performance marketing roadmap, define channel investment theses, and serve as a key voice in shaping the broader demand generation and GTM strategy. Partnering closely with Brand Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, and senior marketing leadership, this leader ensures paid media programs are tightly integrated with pipeline goals, ICP targeting, and the full buyer journey.

The ideal candidate has scaled paid media programs in high-growth B2B SaaS environments, led and developed teams of performance marketers, and has a proven track record of translating investment into measurable, auditable revenue impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the global performance marketing strategy (across APAC, EMEA, Americas) across all paid channels (paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, retargeting, affiliate), aligned to pipeline, ARR, and CAC targets.
  • Develop multi-year channel investment theses and roadmaps, translating business objectives into a scalable, testable media architecture.
  • Serve as the executive-level performance marketing authority for quarterly planning, annual budgeting, and executive QBRs.
  • Lead scenario planning and portfolio-level budget optimization, ensuring spend is continuously allocated to highest-ROI channels and cohorts.

Revenue & Pipeline Ownership

  • Own the paid media contribution to pipeline and MQL targets, managing an active demand funnel of $2M+ in potential revenue from marketing-qualified leads.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to ensure tight lead quality standards, SLA adherence, and MQL-to-opportunity conversion accountability.
  • Drive a measurable 3:1 or greater ROI across the performance marketing portfolio, with clear attribution models and executive-ready performance narratives.
  • Continuously optimize the full funnel—from impression to closed-won—identifying drop-off points, improving conversion architecture, and accelerating pipeline velocity.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, manage, and develop a global team of performance marketing managers, specialists, and agency/vendor partners.
  • Set clear performance expectations, run structured career development conversations, and create a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement with team members and the performance marketing agency.
  • Act as a senior hiring leader—define team structure, recruit top talent, and scale the function as business demands grow.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Analytics, Product Marketing, Content, and regional Growth teams to ensure alignment and shared accountability.

Operations, Measurement & Innovation

  • Own the global performance marketing tech stack and attribution infrastructure, ensuring accurate, consistent measurement across all channels and regions.
  • Establish and govern experimentation frameworks—A/B and multivariate testing, creative iteration, audience segmentation—at scale.
  • Maintain executive-level reporting standards, translating complex performance data into clear, decision-grade insights for C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, platform algorithm shifts, and emerging channel opportunities; bring forward-looking recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive operational rigor across the team—clear processes, documentation, tooling standards, and campaign governance.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of performance marketing experience with deep expertise across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and demand generation; high-growth B2B SaaS or technology environments strongly preferred.
  • 5a global people management role, with a demonstrated track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing performance marketing talent.
  • Proven ownership of $800K+ in annual paid media budgets with direct accountability for ROI; demonstrated achievement of 3:1 or greater return on performance marketing investment.
  • Experience managing and optimizing a marketing-qualified lead pipeline of $2M+ in potential revenue, with close partnership with Sales on pipeline conversion and revenue attribution.
  • Deep demonstrated proficiency with modern performance marketing platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, programmatic DSPs), analytics tools, and CRM/marketing automation systems (HubSpot preferred) and the use of AI to create, launch and optimization campaigns.
  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, present complex data narratives, and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Expert-level fluency in marketing attribution, measurement frameworks, incrementality testing, and performance analytics.
  • Demonstrated Experience with AI-driven optimization tools, intent data platforms (e.g., ZoomInfo, Bombora), and account-based marketing (ABM) strategy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 applications like Teams, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Media or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience scaling performance marketing in a global, multi-regional organization with localized campaign requirements.
  • Ideally experience working in SaaS, HR tech and start-ups
