Our Mission and Opportunity

Early education is one of the most important determinants of childhood outcomes, a critical support for working families, and a $175B market that remains underserved by modern technology. Brightwheel is the largest, fastest growing, and most loved platform in early ed, trusted by millions of educators and families every day. We are a three-time Cloud 100 company, backed by top investors including Addition, Bessemer, Emerson Collective, Lowercase Capital, Notable Capital, and Mark Cuban.

Our Team

Our team is passionate, talented, and customer-focused. We embody our Leadership Principles in our work and culture. We are a distributed team with remote employees across every US time zone, as well as select offices in the US and internationally.

Who You Are

  • You are an exceptional problem solver who can take ambiguous, high-impact business challenges and quickly break them down into clear, actionable paths forward

  • You are energized by applying AI and automation to rethink how work gets done, and have a track record of using new tools or technologies to drive improvements in efficiency or effectiveness

  • You combine strong judgment with speed—you make thoughtful decisions quickly, even with incomplete information, and adjust as you learn

  • You take full ownership of outcomes, driving work from problem definition through execution without waiting for direction or perfect structure

  • You are highly operational and detail-oriented, and are comfortable getting into the weeds to ensure things actually work in practice

  • You think in systems, not just tasks—understanding how different parts of a process or workflow interact and how to improve them end-to-end

  • You are a strong cross-functional partner, able to influence and align stakeholders across teams without formal authority

What You’ll Do / Scope of Work

  • Take ownership of a critical business motion and transform how it operates end-to-end

  • Diagnose what is working, what is not, and where the highest-leverage opportunities exist to improve performance

  • Design and implement more effective, scalable ways of working, incorporating better processes, tooling, and cross-functional coordination

  • Drive structured experimentation to test improvements and iterate quickly based on results

  • Partner closely with teams across Sales, Marketing, and Operations to improve how work flows across the system

  • Leverage AI and automation to redesign workflows, improve decision-making, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of key processes

  • Translate complex problems into clear plans, priorities, and success metrics—and drive execution against them

  • Over time, take on additional high-priority business initiatives as needs evolve

What You’ve Done

  • 8–10+ years of experience, including 2-3 years at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) followed by several years in hands-on operating roles within high-growth environments

  • You have applied AI or automation to meaningfully improve a workflow, process, or business outcome, and can clearly articulate what changed and why it mattered

  • You have owned and driven ambiguous, high-impact business problems end-to-end, from diagnosis through execution and measurable improvement

  • You have transformed or significantly improved an existing process, system, or operating motion—not just maintained or supported it

  • You have worked in roles that required both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and are comfortable switching between the two

  • You have made sound decisions quickly in imperfect or unclear situations, using structured thinking and good judgment

  • You have influenced and driven outcomes across teams, even when you did not directly manage the people involved

  • You have likely worked in BizOps, strategy & operations, chief of staff, growth strategy, Go-to-market, or similar roles where you were responsible for solving complex business problems

This role may not be the right fit if…

  • You’ve primarily managed teams or functions, rather than personally leading ambiguous, cross-functional business problems and driving them from strategy through execution

  • You haven’t yet had the opportunity to apply AI or automation to meaningfully improve how work gets done, or are less interested in using AI as a core lever for driving business impact

  • You’ve focused purely on sales operations, enablement, or support functions without owning end-to-end growth outcomes

  • You prefer well-defined problems and structured environments, rather than creating clarity in ambiguous, 0→1 spaces

  • You tend to spend significant time on analysis and planning before acting, rather than testing and iterating quickly

  • Your experience is primarily in advisory or strategy roles without direct ownership of execution and results

  • You’re motivated by managing large teams or org design, rather than personally driving high-impact initiatives
