Director of Growth Marketing

Element451 is seeking a Director of Growth Marketing to lead and execute initiatives across our marketing organization as we scale our modern SaaS platform serving higher education. This role will own the strategy, structure, and performance of demand generation—building scalable programs that drive pipeline, accelerate revenue, and strengthen our market presence.

This leader will bring a modern, data-driven approach to demand generation, leveraging AI tools, experimentation, and digital channels to move faster, test continuously, and maximize marketing impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the growth marketing and demand generation strategy across digital channels, media, campaigns, and lifecycle marketing to drive qualified pipeline and revenue growth

  • Overhaul and scale existing demand programs, introducing modern frameworks, experimentation, and performance-driven marketing practices

  • Manage and optimize a ~$1.5M annual paid media budget, working closely with external media agency partners to maximize performance across channels

  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns across paid media, digital channels, and marketing automation platforms

  • Partner with product marketing and brand marketing to translate positioning and messaging into high-performing demand campaigns

  • Define and track pipeline targets and campaign performance goals, using data to continuously optimize channel mix and ROI

  • Lead campaign experimentation across digital channels, media buying, and emerging AI-driven marketing workflows

  • Work cross-functionally with sales and revenue teams to ensure strong marketing-to-sales alignment and pipeline quality

  • Manage marketing technology and reporting workflows, including CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot experience preferred)

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)
  • Establish a clear, scalable growth marketing strategy aligned to pipeline and revenue goals

  • Improve campaign performance and channel efficiency, demonstrating measurable ROI on marketing spend

  • Successfully manage and optimize a $1.5M paid media budget with clear performance reporting and forecasting

  • Launch high-performing campaigns that increase qualified pipeline generation and lead quality

  • Implement improved reporting, dashboards, and attribution to help leadership understand marketing impact

Who You Are
  • 6–8+ years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation or performance marketing, ideally within a B2B SaaS company

  • A strategic demand leader, not just a campaign executor—you’ve built or scaled demand generation functions before

  • Deep expertise across digital channels, paid media, lifecycle marketing, and campaign optimization

  • Strong experience managing marketing budgets and performance targets, including working with media agency partners

  • Highly data-driven with the ability to analyze campaign performance and continuously optimize marketing investment

  • Comfortable operating in modern marketing environments that use automation, AI, and experimentation

  • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred)

  • Collaborative and cross-functional, able to work closely with sales, product marketing, and leadership
