The Director of GTM Operations - Commission Strategy and Planning will lead the development, implementation, and evolution of Intapp’s global commission strategy. This role will partner with senior leadership, Sales, HR, and Finance teams to design competitive and equitable commission structures that attract, retain, and motivate top sales talent. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with expertise in commission modeling, incentive structures, performance-based compensation, and compliance.What you will do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commission strategy aligned with business goals, market trends, and best practices. 
  • Lead the design and of commission structures, incentive programs, and performance-based compensation plans. 
  • Partner with the Commission Administration team to ensure our plans are designed with efficient administration as part of our design principles. 
  • Partner with Sales, HR, and Finance to ensure commission programs support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies. 
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive positioning of commission structures across all sales levels. 
  • Oversee pay equity analysis and develop strategies to ensure fairness and transparency in commission practices. 
  • Provide guidance on executive-level and team-based commission structures, including short- and long-term incentive plans. 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to commission-based compensation, including labor laws and financial reporting standards. 
  • Lead commission-related communications and education efforts to enhance employee understanding and engagement with incentive programs. 
  • Manage relationships with external consultants, vendors, and commission survey providers to support strategy and program design. 
  • Stay informed of industry trends and innovations, continuously improving and adapting commission practices to drive business success. 
  • Design and administer Account Executive and other Go to Market performance management systems. 
  • Partner with the functional leaders to ensure adoption of the performance management systems. 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred. 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commission strategy, sales compensation, or incentive program design, including leadership roles in a global organization. 
  • Strong expertise in commission modeling, incentive program design, and total rewards strategy. 
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior leadership on commission matters. 
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in commission modeling and data interpretation. 
  • In-depth knowledge of commission laws, regulations, and governance practices. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams to drive high-impact results.

Your actual base salary will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, geographic location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, variable compensation and equity may also be included.
