In this role, the mission is to continuously refine internal processes and technologies to provide a frictionless operating environment for both general corporate use and for the engineering teams, maximizing the opportunity for the wider DTEX team to delight DTEX’s customers.

Role Description
DTEX is looking for a hands-on Director of IT and TechOps to evolve the company’s Enterprise Technology environment and operations as the company grows. In this role, the mission is to continuously refine internal processes and technologies to provide a frictionless operating environment for both general corporate use and for the engineering teams, maximizing the opportunity for the wider DTEX team to delight DTEX’s customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Owning, monitoring, measuring, and improving the IT Service Management processes
- Lead, mentor, and develop the distributed IT and TechOps teams
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and consultants
- Identify and leverage new technologies and automation to drive DTEX to a touchless, world class, and secure Enterprise computing environment
- Ensure all systems meet security, reliability, and ongoing capacity requirements
- Develop and enforce IT policies
- Lead IT projects from conception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources
- Maintain a close relationship with the security team to ensure security incidents and policy issues are identified and resolved.
- Liaise with business leaders to proactively determine technology requirements
- We require in person interview and onsite presence during onboarding
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Masters preferred)
- 5+ years experience in an IT leadership role managing people and ITSM processes
- 10+ years experience in implementing and managing SaaS and remote desktop computing environments
- Proven experience implementing and managing ITSM processes and frameworks (eg. ISO 20000 / COBIT / ITIL)
- Proven experience supporting software development and test environments
- 2+ years administering Atlassian Jira
- 2+ years administering MS Entra / Office 365
- Proven ability to think strategically and put measurable systems in place
- Proven project management skills, with experience managing a variety of projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Proven security-first approach to developing systems and processes
- 2+ years experience working in a SaaS-first software or similar technology company
- Exceptional written and communication skills
- A US citizen based in the US
