Job Description

The Director, Oligo & Peptide Market Segment Leader advances CRB’s preeminence in design and construction within the Oligo and Peptide Market Segment of the Life Science industry. The Director pursues this end by:

  • Leading a cross-functional team of individuals who are also passionate about advancing CRB’s strategic position in the Oligo & Peptides market
  • Building CRB’s industry presence
  • Supporting global strategic project pursuits and win strategies, increasing CRB’s market capture 
  • Serving as a global resource to increase probability of Global Strategic Opportunities (GSOs) capture
  • Interfacing with CRB Leadership, identifying industry trends and shaping strategy for the Oligo and Peptide Market Segment
  • Developing a mentoring program to enhance Oligo and Peptide capabilities across the organization 
  • Improving CRB’s design excellence through continuous improvement, development in implementation of best practices 
  • Building CRB’s industry presence, recognition, and reputation through thought leadership and active participation in industry events 

The Director will drive long-term global strategic direction and growth by identifying and developing key resources, leaders, and champions of Oligo & Peptides.  S/he will work closely with the Sr. Director of Life Sciences, POR and Regional Ops to drive technical excellence consistency supporting strategic company goals. Ultimately differentiating CRB from the rest of the competition through superior technical excellence, innovation and mentoring.

Responsibilities 

  • Strategize and investigate trends and the future of the industry; identifying evolution pathways for the therapeutic science and manufacturing methods, and identifying equipment and facility solutions and gaps. 
  • Be CRB’s face for the market(s), building brand awareness and reputation across all regions, being featured for conferences, webinars and publications, and personally engaging with industry and clients. 
  • Increase CRB’s market capture by working with Business Development to align on strategy and direction, identifying critical target clients, participating in early client engagement and pre-positioning, strategizing on project-win methods and capture planning for critical win projects. Aligning and strategizing with Sales Services for proposal direction on critical win projects. Support critical project interviews.  
  • Strengthen CRB’s design capabilities and maturity through facilitating internal training, building a talent depth chart, coordinating intentional mentoring development programs, identifying strategic market hires, and growing the SME and A&C reviewer network.  
  • Growing CRB’s market regulatory expertise. Being the market face of CRB for engagement with global regulatory bodies and industry lobby groups. 
  • Support operations directly by strategizing on project approach and providing program or conceptual level alignment and support on critical or complex projects. 
  • Differentiating CRB from the competition by continuing to improve CRB’s value proposition anticipating the evolution and future states of the industry.  
  • Global ambassador within CRB for Oligo & Peptides across all regions, building CRB culture and technical knowledge and design capability. 

Market & Client Engagement 

  • Be a premier thought leader and CRB’s industry representative for Oligo and Peptides. Building brand and reputation across all regions, engaging our SMEs to present at conferences, webinars etc... and personally engaging with industry and clients contacts. 
  • Increase CRB’s market capture by working with the Market Engagement Team (MET) to align on strategy and direction for Global Strategic Opportunities, identifying critical target clients, participating in early client engagement and pre-positioning, strategizing on project-win strategies including proposal and interviews.  
  • Maintain and grow relationships with industry partners and existing clients to strengthen CRB’s reputation as a trusted advisor and partner. 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in the design / construction industry. 
  • 10+ years of experience in the life sciences industry. Extensive understanding of life science facility operations, specifically for Oligo & Peptides. 
  • Bachelor’s degree(s) in architecture, engineering, construction, or science/technology related to CRB key markets/disciplines. 
  • Deep knowledge of Oligo & Peptides processes, cGMP regulations and applications thereof.  
  • Strategic-oriented mentality. Ability to recognize relevant trends and innovations which inspire clients and colleagues. 
  • Ability to read industry evolution trends and innovate for novel solutions/approaches. 
  • Active in professional organizations focusing on Oligo & Peptides markets and technology. 
  • Ability to speak publicly with confidence and poise. 
  • Clear technical writing skills. 
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. 
  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate ideas to clients in real time. 
  • Active in professional organizations.  
  • Demonstrates CRB’s core values and cultural identity.
