The OpportunityThis is a pivotal moment to join SoundHound AI. As a key leader on the Strategy & Corporate Development team, you will build and lead our post-merger integration and strategic initiatives function, ensuring every acquisition translates into realized value, operational alignment, and long-term growth.
Reporting to the VP, Strategy & Corporate Development, you will play a central role in shaping how SoundHound captures value from its M&A and related enterprise initiatives. This is a high-visibility role for an experienced operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and execution.
You will be responsible for the entire post-acquisition lifecycle, from ensuring pre-close readiness to driving long-term portfolio value.
- Partner with Corporate Development during diligence to lead operational due diligence, shape integration theses, and create value-capture plans aligned to the deal rationale.
- Lead all post-merger integration (PMI) efforts end-to-end, from pre-close readiness to full synergy realization and operational steady state.
- Establish and lead cross-functional Integration Management Offices (IMOs) for each deal, ensuring alignment across all functional teams and timely execution of all phases of integration.
- Develop, institutionalize, and continuously improve SoundHound’s integration playbook, including governance models, communication protocols, and reporting frameworks.
- Drive transparent reporting and cadence for executives and the Board on integration progress, risk, and value realization.
- Partner with Finance to define, track, and report on synergy realization against deal performance targets.
- Lead strategic programs that extend beyond initial deal closure, ensuring long-term integration success and value creation across acquired and legacy businesses.
- Drive high-impact initiatives that expand value from past integrations (e.g., product harmonization, GTM alignment, systems migrations, shared services optimization).
- Serve as a trusted leader for select enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that strengthen SoundHound’s overall operating model or accelerate transformation.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to identify and execute cross-portfolio initiatives that enhance scalability, efficiency, and integration readiness for future deals.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in M&A integration, transformation, or large-scale program leadership within a technology, SaaS, or AI-driven company, with a Bachelor's, or a Master’s
- Demonstrated success leading complex integrations or transformation initiatives through the full lifecycle: planning, execution, stabilization, and optimization.
- Proven experience developing and running governance models, KPIs, and dashboards for tracking integration and transformation impact.
- Strong understanding of how product, technology, and GTM decisions intersect with operational integration and value creation.
- Structured, first-principles problem-solving skills with strong project discipline and operational instincts.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with an astute ability to connect program execution to SoundHound’s overall strategic and financial objectives.
- Executive-level communication and influencing skills, with a strong ability to align senior stakeholders and a clear sense of when and how to pull in the right people at the right time.
This position is available for remote work across the United States. Employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” per month to encourage in-person cross-team collaboration.
The estimated salary for this position is $165,000 - $225,000 plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
