About Aalyria:

Aalyria is a leading technology company that supplies laser communications technology and temporospatial software-defined networking platforms to the aerospace industry. With technology acquired from Google, Aalyria is at the forefront of innovation in satellite and airborne mesh networks, as well as cislunar and deep-space communications. We are revolutionizing the orchestration and management of planetary mesh networks using any radio or optical spectrum, any orbit, and any hardware across land, sea, air, and space.

Role Overview:

Aalyria is seeking its first dedicated marketing leader. The company has a strong story: Google-heritage

technology, marquee customers, and a category we effectively define. This role builds the marketing function

from scratch, covering positioning, content, events, and demand generation for two distinct audiences,

commercial network operators and the U.S. government.

This is a hands-on role. You will write, ship, and run programs yourself before you hire, and the function exists

to create pipeline for the sales and growth teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Positioning and Content

  • Own positioning and messaging: a clear, technically credible story, versioned for commercial operators, defense and civil space customers, and partners.
  • Build the content engine: website, technical collateral, case studies, demo narratives, thought leadership, and the sales deck system.

Events and Demand Generation

  • Run the events program: select and win the conferences and trade shows where our buyers are (commercial space, satellite, defense), each measured on pipeline produced.
  • Drive demand generation suited to enterprise and government sales cycles: targeted campaigns, account-based programs, and the nurture motion behind long deals, measured in qualified pipeline created.

Field Support and Brand

  • Arm the sales and growth teams with materials, proof points, and per-pursuit support.
  • Steward the brand and PR: announcements, analyst and press touchpoints, and the public technical presence, including our open-source ecosystem, with judgment about what a company in our markets should and should not say publicly.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of B2B technology marketing, with at least 3 building or leading marketing at a high-growth startup.
  • A record of building a marketing function or a major motion from scratch, with the pipeline it produced.
  • Strong writing and editing; able to interview an engineer and produce accurate, compelling material.
  • Experience marketing to both government and commercial buyers, or a clear grasp of how the two differ.
  • Comfortable owning tools, metrics, and budgets directly before there is a team.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep-tech, infrastructure, space, telecom, or defense technology domain experience.
  • Experience working alongside government growth and BD teams: event strategy around program offices, capability one-pagers, past-performance narratives.
  • Familiarity with the space and satellite communications ecosystem, its trade press, and its conference circuit.
  • Product marketing depth, including pricing and packaging narratives for platform software.
What We Offer:
  • Innovative Environment: Work at a cutting-edge company shaping the future of aerospace communications.
  • Impactful Work: Directly contribute to critical national security programs and initiatives.
  • Growth Opportunities: Expand your career with opportunities for professional development and advancement.
  • Inclusive Culture: Be part of a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive workplace where your contributions matter.
  • Flexibility: Flexible working arrangements including hybrid remote/in-office schedules.
  • Compensation and Equity: Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits (401(k), dental, vision, health, life insurance), paid time off, and equity options.
ITAR/EAR Requirements:

This position involves access to export-controlled information. To comply with U.S. government export regulations, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

(A) Qualify as a U.S. person, which includes:

  • U.S. citizen or national
  • U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder)
  • Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157
  • Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158

(B) Be eligible to access export-controlled information without requiring an export authorization.

(C) Be eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the necessary export authorization from the appropriate U.S. government agency.

The company reserves the right to decline pursuing an export licensing process for legitimate business-related reasons.

Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:

Aalyria is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
