About the role:
Liquid I.V. is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Media to architect high-impact brand and full-funnel strategies that drive brand awareness, increase household penetration, and deliver measurable business growth. This role owns brand media investment and ensures strategies break through and stand out in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Reporting to the Vice President, Media & Retention, the Director will orchestrate media seamlessly across the funnel, translating awareness into consideration, conversion, and long-term brand equity. This leader will leverage media mix modeling, incrementality testing and advanced analytics to continuously optimize investment and maximize total business impact.

- Brand Media Strategy & Execution
- Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of brand and full-funnel paid media to drive awareness, household penetration and business growth.
- Lead integrated media plans across tentpole brand moments, innovation launches, and always-on support.
- Identify opportunities to expand reach, unlock new audiences, and strengthen competitive differentiation.
- Full-Funnel Alignment & Demand Generation
- Partner closely with Acquisition, Retention, Brand, Creative, Web and Insights teams to ensure aligned go-to-market execution.
- Ensure brand media investment is effectively connected to lower-funnel performance and sales outcomes across the business.
- Champion cohesive, insights-driven media strategies that support the entire customer journey.
- Measurement & Optimization
- Lead media measurement strategy leveraging MMM, incrementality testing, brand lift and cross-channel analytics.
- Translate campaign performance insights into actionable optimizations and executive-ready narratives.
- Continuously refine media mix to improve effectiveness, efficiency and scalability.
- Agency & Budget Leadership
- Oversee media agency relationships to ensure strategic rigor, innovation, and accountability.
- Manage and optimize a 9-figure media budget, balancing short-term performance and long-term brand equity.
- Team Leadership & Innovation
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing media team.
- Drive adoption of emerging media trends, technologies, and AI-enabled tools to modernize planning and buying.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of experience leading paid media strategy within a high-growth, omnichannel consumer brand.
- Proving success scaling brand awareness and household penetration through analytically grounded media strategies.
- Deep expertise across the full media ecosystem, including digital, social, programmatic, video, partnerships and traditional channels.
- Experience managing 9-figure media budgets with demonstrated impact on both brand equity and revenue growth.
- Strong fluency in brand and business metrics including reach, frequency, penetration, brand lift, incrementality and ROI.
- Strong ability to coach, grow talent, understanding of training and development programs, performance management, and building capabilities within the team for both short and long-term career growth.
- Experience leading agency relationships and large-scale integrated campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Environment:
- This role is HYBRID (El Segundo, CA) with flexibility for industry events.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
The compensation band for this position is $151,300 - $189,100 annually. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package.
