Role Summary

Distinguished expert individual contributor and enterprise thought leader responsible for shaping global strategic marketing strategy, innovation direction, and portfolio expansion, with a focus on new product innovation, pre-commercial pipeline assets, and future growth platforms.

This role leads end-to-end commercialization strategy spanning insight generation, strategy definition, execution readiness, and structured market learning, ensuring early-stage innovations are translated into differentiated, clinically credible, compliant, and commercially viable offerings.

Key Responsibilities1. Insights & Opportunity Shaping
  • Design and lead global insight generation programs to inform innovation strategy, including:
    • Advisory board strategy and engagement with Key Opinion Leaders
    • Voice of Customer programs across providers, patients and key stakeholders
  • Synthesize insights into clear strategic implications, including unmet needs, adoption barriers, workflow considerations, and key decision drivers
  • Lead market and opportunity assessments, including segmentation, demand modeling, and whitespace identification
  • Translate clinical, scientific, customer, and market insights into actionable marketing inputs, including early positioning, messaging direction, indication prioritization, and product design considerations
2. Strategy Development (Early Commercialization)
  • Lead development of core commercial strategy for pipeline innovations, including:
    • Value proposition and differentiated positioning
  • Messaging frameworks, evidence requirements, and claims strategy, in alignment with clinical, regulatory, legal, quality, and market access inputs
  • Lead development of brand strategy and identity, including platform positioning, naming, and foundational brand elements
  • Drive creation of visual concepts and early marketing assets to advance internal decision-making, external storytelling, and compliant market shaping
  • Define pricing strategy and economic models, including key assumptions, access considerations, and willingness-to-pay dynamics
  • Partner with clinical and regulatory leaders to define evidence generation strategy aligned to future claims, market access requirements, clinical differentiation, and compliant commercialization pathways
  • Shape product and ecosystem strategy inputs by influencing product design, indication prioritization, feature trade-offs, and adoption requirements based on customer, clinical, and market insights, including:
  • Training, usability, workflow integration, and customer experience considerations
  • Accessory or enabling solutions required to support adoption
3. Execution Planning & Commercial Readiness
  • Define global go-to-market strategy, including segmentation, target accounts, and launch sequencing (in partnership with Sales teams)
  • Lead development of launch readiness frameworks and plans, including cross-functional milestones and governance
  • Drive adoption and market shaping strategy, including workflow integration, training models, early adopter engagement, and barriers-to-adoption mitigation
  • Partner with regional teams to ensure effective localization and execution of global strategy
  • Lead priority market launch execution and structured post-launch learning loops to refine positioning, pricing, segmentation, and go-to-market strategy based on early market feedback
4. Enterprise Leadership & Cross-Functional Integration
  • Lead cross-functional decision-making across R&D, clinical, regulatory, quality, supply chain, finance, commercial, and regional teams
  • Translate complex cross-functional inputs into clear recommendations, trade-off decisions, and executive-ready decision frameworks
  • Establish and lead governance forums for pipeline, launch, and portfolio initiatives to drive alignment, accountability, and timely execution
  • Ensure strategic decisions and execution plans align with quality, regulatory, clinical, legal, and compliance standards in a regulated medtech environment
5. Capability Building & Thought Leadership
  • Champion a purpose-driven environment aligned with Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives
  • Shape a culture of open communication, collaboration, accountability, and enterprise ownership
  • Serve as a functional thought leader in innovation marketing, early commercialization strategy, market shaping, and launch excellence
  • Mentor and guide colleagues across the organization to build depth in strategic marketing, insight generation, and commercialization capabilities
  • Build and scale best practices, tools, and operating models that elevate innovation strategy, launch readiness, and portfolio decision quality

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.

  • 7–10+ years of experience across innovation, marketing, strategy, or adjacent commercial roles.

  • Strong ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and drive clarity from complexity.

  • Experience partnering with cross‑functional and global teams.

  • Track record of translating insights into actionable concepts and recommendations.

  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and storytelling skills

Preferred

    • Master’s Degree (MBA)

    • Cross functional business experience

    • Healthcare, medical device, or aesthetics experience

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    $150,000.00 - $258,750.00

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
