About The RoleAs Director, Operations Strategy you will work directly with VP and above leadership to shape and deliver against TRR’s Inbound Operations continuous improvement initiatives. The Director will serve as a leader on the Operations team, playing a critical role in defining the future state of Inbound Operations value chain inclusive of consignment product receiving, photography, attribution, and authentication. In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to deliver cost, quality, and SLA efficiencies across Operations; working closely with both Operations leadership and cross-functional teams (ex. Product, Tech, and Finance).

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Identify process improvement and tech-enabled change opportunities, develop business cases, and define a roadmap for implementation of initiatives that deliver Inbound Operations efficiencies across speed, quality, and cost 

  • Steward digital transformation of Inbound Operations, including the identification and implementation of new TRR-proprietary AI-enabled tools and hardware (ex. Robotics, Material Handling Equipment, etc.) 

  • Prepare clear and concise analyses (in Excel/Google Sheet) and presentations (in Google Slides) to present recommendations to senior leadership and Cross-functional partners

  • Identify longer-term, forward thinking innovative solutions to supply chain challenges and supply growth opportunities. Explore external partnership opportunities vs. internal building capabilities and assess impact. Support POCs and Pilots for new initiatives to test and learn quickly.

  • Build a continuous improvement model for operational excellence, leveraging learnings across functions within the supply chain. Create a Center of Excellence (COE) toolbox with frameworks, metrics, dashboards, and insights  to continually build on learnings

  • Lead development of a long range plan across people, process, and technology for Inbound operations. Create rigorous business cases that include impact analyses, holistic cost assessments, and key risks or other dependencies. Develop KPIs, monitor strategy progress, and identify roadblocks with Operations leadership.

  • Partner cross functionally with the product, technology, merchandising, sales, and other operational teams to drive quick wins and longer-term key strategic initiatives. Conduct holistic analyses measuring inbound operational impact, with respect to costs, fixed assets, working capital and service, and gather cross functional input to test and strengthen ideas.

  • Develop the change management approach to ensure seamless implementation of new ways of working for hundreds of Operations associates across all three Authentication Centers, domestically 

  • Define and monitor success measures to ensure the successful deployment and evolution of new business processes and technology solutions; Own engagement with stakeholder / leadership engagement

 

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of work experience; 5+ years of Management/Strategy Consulting experience or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain; MBA a plus

  • Experience in E-commerce/ Retail Operations and/or Supply Chain with a Consumer company

  • Experience with Business transformation change and program management, including but not limited to change management strategy, communications, and milestone development.

  • Proficiency in slide creation and storytelling to executive stakeholders

  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Structured problem solving skills, combined with strong business acumen

  • Highly quantitative and structured approach to solving problems, utilizing frameworks and relying on data

  • Proactive working style - comfortable with ambiguity and working autonomously 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and turn them into compelling, direct, and easy-to-digest narratives for different audiences

The expected salary range for this role is $203,375.00-$225,000.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
