Job Description
 

The Director, Opinion Leader Programming (OLP) Breast will be responsible for proactively communicating and executing on marketing initiatives focused on HCP Peer to Peer education for TRODELVY in metastatic breast indications including (but not limited to) speaker programs, advisory boards, speaker training programs, and any special live or virtual programs. The successful candidate is the primary contact for all matters involving peer-to-peer education and management of vendors supporting this work.
 

This role can be based in the Gilead Parsippany, NJ or Foster City office.

  • Oversee the development of HCP speaker program content, training materials and live and virtual training programs in adherence with established compliance guidelines.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive professional education marketing strategy aligned with company and brand goals across metastatic breast cancer indications.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with operation requirements for all Speaker Bureau nominations and other HCP engagements including contracting, documentation, and records retention.
  • Lead development and execution of innovative HCP medical education that maximizes participant engagement and attendance in partnership with our Regional Marketing team.
  • Manage logistics, speaker selection, training, and content delivery for educational events.
  • Partner with the Home Office and Regional Marketing teams to co-develop strategy with our Gilead Breast Cancer Council, comprised of opinion leaders.
  • Lead innovative initiatives on peer to peer and influence mapping.
  • Support development of the annual breast advisory board plan ensuring alignment with HQ Marketing. Actively participate in content development as a member of the cross functional team.
  • Liaise with the regional marketing team to maintain strategic plan for 3rd party programming including budget and KPI monitoring.
  • Assist with the preparation of metrics reporting and provide insights on trends to Marketing & Sales on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.
  • Support the development and execution of HCP led field trainings in partnership with sales training and core brand team.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Ten Years' Experience

OR

Ph.D. and Eight Years' Experience
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Launch experience in Oncology
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Knowledge of the Breast marketplace and disease states
  • Existing relationships with key Breast HCPs

Required Qualifications:

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and present to KOLs.
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy.
  • Ability to gather insights from customer engagements and translate market research findings into actionable insights and tactical plans.
  • Ability to understand and communicate clinical data and high-level science.


The salary range for this position is:

Other US Locations: $205,615.00 - $266,090.00.


 

Bay Area: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00.


Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
