About the Role

We're looking for a Director of Product Management to lead the Opportunity Engine—our system for helping advisors identify and act on growth opportunities with existing clients. You'll own the product vision, strategy, and execution, leading your cross-functional pod to iteratively deliver business impact.

This role sits at the intersection of wealth management and technology. You'll translate business needs into product capabilities that drive measurable impact: improved client excellence, stronger net revenue retention, and better advisor workflows.

What You'll Do

Lead the Product

· Own the Opportunity Engine roadmap from discovery through delivery

· Define requirements for growth action types from Share of Wallet to referral

· Make decisions on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs with clarity and speed

Lead a Cross-Functional Pod

· Partner daily with engineering, design, data, and business stakeholders

· Run agile ceremonies and ensure your pod has what they need to deliver

· Coordinate across Technology, Business Intelligence, Sales, and Field Enablement teams

· Manage relationships with external partners

Leverage AI

· Integrate AI capabilities into advisor workflows to drive growth

· Use data and machine learning to drive recommendation

· Leverage AI to make yourself and your team more effective at building

Drive Outcomes

· Define success metrics and track progress toward client excellence and net revenue retention goals

· Partner with BI to build dashboards that show pipeline health by advisor, market, and division

· Continuously improve based on pilot feedback and usage data

What You Bring

Experience

· 7+ years in product management, ideally in financial services, wealth management, or B2B SaaS

· Track record of shipping products that integrate with existing systems and workflows

· Experience working in or leading cross-functional pods (engineering, design, data)

· Experience managing multiple products at the same time

Skills

· Strong ability to translate complex business processes into clear product requirements

· Comfort with AI concepts and how to apply them to user-facing products

· Data fluency—you can define metrics, interpret dashboards, and make decisions from data

· Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences

Mindset

· Bias toward action while delivering great products

· Comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities

· User-obsessed—you start with advisor pain points and work backward

Why Join Us

You'll work on a high-visibility initiative with direct executive sponsorship. The Opportunity Engine is central to how Mercer Advisors delivers on its family office promise—helping clients manage their complete financial lives. You'll have the autonomy to shape the product and the resources to ship meaningful improvements.
