We’re seeking a Director, Product to lead the strategic direction, roadmap, and execution of product initiatives across AbsenceSoft’s suite of leave management solutions. This role will manage a talented team of product managers and leave specialists to collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, customer success, and executive leadership to deliver innovative, user-centric, and market-leading products. The Director will play a pivotal role in scaling product capabilities, driving business growth, and maintaining AbsenceSoft’s position as a leader in leave management technology.


What you'll do

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and leave specialists.
  • Prioritize product initiatives using data-driven decision-making and customer insights.
  • Partner with engineering, product operations, and architecture to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to drive go-to-market readiness and product adoption.
  • Monitor product performance and customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish clear KPIs and metrics for success and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities.
  • Represent the voice of the customer across all product lifecycle stages.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security standards while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of product management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success managing product teams and launching complex software products.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and strong analytical mindset.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.
  • High proficiency with product management tools and platforms.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree, experience in B2B SaaS or HR technology, and familiarity with HR, leave of absences, benefits, or compliance domains.
