Location Designation: Hybrid - 4 days per week
The Director, Program & Transformation Management will serve as the day-to-day execution lead supporting the unification of New York Life's investment businesses across public and private markets.
This role focuses on driving coordinated execution across investment teams and shared services to ensure alignment, momentum, and clarity as the organization operates as one integrated investment platform. The Director partners closely with senior leaders and functional leads to connect business priorities to execution, surface risks and dependencies, and provide clear, decision-ready insights.
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for a leader who brings structure to complexity, keeps work moving forward, and enables leaders to focus on outcomes. The role plays a critical connective function across investment businesses, shared services, and enterprise leadership-while taking a pragmatic, people-centered approach that respects investment autonomy, client continuity, and regulatory discipline.
What You'll Do:
Program & Transformation Management
  • Act as the central execution point supporting the unification of the investment businesses.
  • Partner with leaders across investment teams and shared services to align priorities, track progress, manage dependencies, and surface issues early.
  • Maintain an integrated execution roadmap that aligns timelines and sequencing across businesses and functions.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, or misalignment and drive resolution or escalation as needed.

Coordination, Cadence & Reporting
  • Lead regular cross-business execution and status forums, ensuring focused discussion, clear accountability, and follow-through.
  • Coordinate inputs across investment, operations, technology, finance, HR, and communications to ensure consistent and accurate updates.
  • Document decisions, actions, and risks; track closure and next steps.
  • Reinforce execution discipline while enabling collaboration across historically distinct businesses.

Leadership Support & Governance
  • Prepare clear, concise executive materials-including status updates, dashboards, and decision memos-for senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Synthesize detailed activity into straightforward leadership narratives highlighting progress, risks, and decisions required.
  • Support leadership meetings by managing agendas, materials, follow-ups, and action tracking.
  • Monitor overall delivery health across scope, timing, risks, and interdependencies.

Stakeholder Partnership
  • Build trusted working relationships with leaders across asset management, investment operations, technology, finance, HR, and communications.
  • Serve as a reliable execution partner to business and functional leads, supporting coordination and problem-solving in a fast-moving environment.
  • Communicate with clarity, professionalism, and empathy, helping foster accountability and forward momentum.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) a plus.
  • 10-12 years of experience in business execution, integration, or complex cross-functional initiatives within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience in asset management strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage execution details while maintaining focus on business outcomes.
  • Proven experience preparing executive-ready materials and supporting senior leadership decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of asset management operating models, including public and private markets and shared services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident facilitator and collaborator.
