Energy storage is the key to unlocking a future where our world is powered by renewable resources. At Convergent Energy and Power, our mission is to make the electrical grid cleaner, more reliable, and less expensive by leveraging state-of-the-art energy storage and distributed generation technologies.

The Director, Project Development is the business owner for a portfolio of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development projects and serves as the single point of accountability from commercial award through Financing Ready / Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Working within Convergent's development standards, underwriting criteria, and approved risk tolerances, this role transforms commercially originated opportunities into financeable, construction-ready investments. Success requires integrating commercial, technical, financial, regulatory, and stakeholder considerations while directing cross-functional execution across the organization.

The Project Developer owns project value throughout the development lifecycle. This includes accountability for development budget, integrated schedule, project economics, customer commitments, commercial negotiations, financing readiness, and the successful transition of projects to construction.

The Project Developer exercises independent judgment to balance competing priorities, resolve complex development challenges, preserve investment returns, and deliver projects that satisfy Convergent's underwriting, design, operating, and financing standards.

This is an individual contributor role and therefore does not have any direct reports but will exercise informal mentorship and guidance to junior-level staff.
