As a Director of Quality Control Engineering here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and oversee the quality engineering functions to ensure the highest standards of product quality and compliance. You will develop and implement quality strategies, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage quality assurance processes to support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement quality control strategies and processes to ensure product compliance and excellence.
  • Lead and mentor the quality organization to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee QMS on site, quality audits, inspections, and testing to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, supply chain, and R&D to integrate quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics and KPIs to track performance and drive improvements.
  • Work with supplier quality assurance and vendors to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, and prepare reports for senior management.
Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree on Business, Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control engineering or quality assurance leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards (such as ISO 9001, AS9100), and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies including Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and statistical process control to drive quality improvements.
  • Experience with quality management software and data analysis tools to monitor and report quality metrics effectively.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (e.g., ME, EE, or MBA).
  • Experience in leading quality control in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with a focus on fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality management and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and experience driving operational excellence initiatives.

The annual base salary range for this position is $203,000 - $254,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
