Description:

As part of the Real-world data Research team, you will get the opportunity to work with a collaborative team in an inclusive and supportive environment. This position includes management and scientific methodological responsibilities ensuring the delivery of high-quality real-world studies. This role will be responsible for engagement with functional leads to provide consultation and may include summarizing book of work across the team. This role also involves managing timelines and deliverable quality, maintaining organizational alignment with BMS customers and external stakeholders (vendors, research support). Additionally, it encompasses the advancement of organizational knowledge and capabilities through scientific and managerial development and training. In this position, the candidate will be expected to apply an advanced knowledge of observational research methods, analytics and real-world data to BMS research questions emerging from a broad array of stakeholders and address questions across early- and late-stage drug development, product launch and life cycle management.

Responsibilities:

  • This position will be an individual contributor but may have future management responsibility

  • Supporting multiple asset- and market-facing stakeholders (e.g., HEOR, Patient Safety, Market Access, Medical) by prioritizing and organizing projects, facilitating development of research plans, ensuring quality results and partnering with BMS scientists in the delivery of research information and business insights

  • Provide BMS research functions with consultative support on non-interventional research questions including assisting with resolution of methodological questions, implementation issues, interpretation of results and presentation / manuscript development as needed to ensure high quality, value-driven research projects

  • Support Observational Protocol Review Committee (OPRC) with methodological review and approval recommendations as assigned

  • Identify real world data sources and research opportunities globally through partnerships that support R&D, HEOR, Patient Safety and Market Access priorities

  • Conduct non-interventional research projects using retrospective data resources to support RWD Research customer needs

  • Prioritize and assign research projects across research teams (or within one’s own book of work if no formal team responsibilities)

  • Communicate project status and results / insights effectively to all stakeholders

  • Assess information environment and analytical tool set to ensure current and future needs are identified

  • Enable the integration of innovative methods / applications to various projects Expected to possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across all areas, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment of RWD Research team goals

  • Ensure transparent communication with employees, stakeholders, and departments for fair decision-making and open information sharing

  • Ensures transparent and fair processes, policies, and actions throughout the organization Ability to adjust leadership approaches to suit the distinct requirements of different teams and situations, encouraging adaptability across the RWD Research team

  • Adapt organizational strategies and goals in response to changing market dynamics or emerging opportunities

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Masters in biostatistics, epidemiology, outcomes research, or related quantitative research field with 7+ years of experience

  • 5+ years of experience using large real world data sets to conduct epidemiologic and outcome research, RWE research experience with oncology or hematology is plus

  • Extensive experience with protocol development and execution for health outcomes research projects

  • Management responsibility and stakeholder engagement experience

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

Compensation Overview:

Remote - United States - US: $197,800 - $239,681

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Work-life benefits include:

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)

  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
