Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is hiring an experienced, data-driven Director of S&OP to own enterprise planning across demand, capacity, capital, and execution. This role is responsible for translating growth ambition into fundable, executable operating plans - ensuring alignment across Operations, Finance, Product, and GTM.

This leader will build and scale the company’s S&OP function, establishing the mechanisms, models, and decision frameworks that guide capacity investments, CapEx timing, inventory strategy, and market expansion. The Head of S&OP will provide leadership with clear scenarios, trade-offs, and recommendations rooted in operational reality and financial discipline.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Planning & S&OP

  • Own and lead Dandy’s end-to-end S&OP process across demand, supply, inventory, and capital planning.

  • Define planning horizons, decision rights, and escalation mechanisms to support disciplined execution.

  • Build integrated operating plans that align revenue forecasts, capacity, inventory, and spend.

  • Drive alignment across Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, and GTM around a single source of truth.

Capacity & Capex Planning

  • Own long-range capacity models tied to throughput, utilization, and growth assumptions.

  • Partner with Operations, Automation, and Finance on CapEx planning, ROI analysis, and investment timing.

  • Evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner trade-offs to support expansion and network resilience.

Scenario Modeling & Decision Support

  • Develop multi-scenario plans (base, upside, downside) and sensitivity analyses.

  • Identify risks, constraints, and inflection points early and clearly communicate implications.

  • Present executive-ready options and recommendations that balance growth, cost, and risk.

  • Ensure planning outputs drive real decisions, not just reporting.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of planners and analysts.

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Product, Automation, and Sales leadership.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to enhance forecasting, capacity, and planning infrastructure.

  • Standardize assumptions, data definitions, and KPIs across planning functions.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in operations planning, capacity planning, operations strategy, finance, or related roles in capital-intensive or multi-site environments.

  • Demonstrated ownership of capacity and/or CapEx planning decisions in a scaling organization.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning processes without direct authority.

  • Strong analytical background; advanced proficiency in Excel/Sheets, SQL, or similar modeling tools.

  • Experience building and managing teams, with a track record of developing talent.

  • Excellent executive communication skills - able to distill complex analysis into clear recommendations.

  • Strong business judgment and comfort operating in ambiguity and rapid growth.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience standing up or scaling S&OP in a high-growth company.

  • Background in advanced manufacturing, automation, hardware, or logistics networks.

  • Prior experience in operations strategy, industrial engineering, or strategic finance.

  • Exposure to ERP, planning systems, or analytics platforms.

  • MBA or advanced degree in Operations, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
