Job Requirements:

Develops and grows company’s business development activities and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels. Identifies new business opportunities and/or commercial partnerships. Develops business development strategies and creates annual business development plans for relevant area to reach required business objectives and revenue. Works closely with account managers to understand business requirements and market needs. Recognizes new market segments and opportunities for business development, makes a calculation of returns and investment, and gains agreement for the investment, resources, and actions required for the developments. Prioritizes market segment development activities and sets revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

•    The Director of Sales, Sealing is responsible for all commercial aspects of the Sealing Business Unit.
•    Responsible for business unit goals, sales metrics, and assessing activity to meet objectives.
•    Supports global management team in Budget and Strategic Planning. 
•    Assures business profitability.
•    Develops new accounts, markets, and sales of new products in accordance with the Company's Business Plan. 
•     Maintains highest level of knowledge possible of Company's products, their applications, services, and policies. 
•    Leads a team that services all Sealing customers. 
•    Tracks and presents market information and competitive updates to leaders. 
•    Maintains cognizance of all market influences. 
•    Operates within assigned budget. 
•    Manages channels of distribution.
•    Penetrates and develops new accounts while maintaining existing business and integrating product/process and application knowledge into successful territory plan for the Sales Team. 
•    Leads a team which prospects new customers, provides information, and demonstrations. 
•    Assesses customer requirements and competitor activity.

Qualifications/Experience:

•    10+ years of experience in international Sales and Marketing with knowledge of the automotive industry and relevant specialty materials.
•    Demonstrated proficiency in managing a sales group, growing revenue, and managing a portfolio of technical products.
•    Proficiency in Adaptive Coaching Skills of listening, asking, and responding.
•    B.S. Degree, Engineering preferred, MBA preferred.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Financial Statement Analysis.

Compensation range: $175, 000 - $212,000

Location: Remote (Candidates must be based near a major airport and within a key customer region of the East Coast or Midwest regions)

Travel: The position requires 50% - 60% percent travel to customer sites and company locations as needed
