We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead a critical portfolio comprising our Corporate Infrastructure, Integrations, and Software Engineering teams. This is a high-impact leadership role that requires strategic thinking, strong technical depth, and a people-first mindset. You’ll oversee multiple teams delivering essential internal tools, services, and integrations that power Dropbox’s operations and connect our products with the broader SaaS ecosystem. You’ll work closely with your direct reports, cross-functional partners, and other teams to build the future of Dropbox.   • Drive the strategy, execution, and delivery for Dropbox’s corporate infrastructure, integrations platform, and internal software systems.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders in IT, Security, Product, and Business Systems to align technical investments with company priorities.
  • Champion engineering excellence, setting high standards for architecture, code quality, and operational rigor.
  • Develop and manage roadmaps, ensuring your teams deliver high-impact solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top-tier engineering talent, while actively mentoring future leaders.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics) or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience with an engineering team
  • Minimum of 5 year as a software engineer or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Director level role
  • Experience leading Infrastructure, Low/Code Automation and Software Engineering Teams
  • Experience owning and managing cloud environments and its services
