We are seeking a forward-thinking, commercially-minded Director, Talent Acquisition to lead and evolve our global recruiting strategy. This role sits at the intersection of talent, technology, and brand—reimagining how we attract, engage, and hire talent in a rapidly changing landscape.

As a senior people leader, you will report to the Chief People Officer and be responsible for developing and executing a world-class talent acquisition strategy across all functions and geographies. You will own the full recruiting lifecycle—from workforce planning and employer branding to sourcing, selection, and onboarding handoff—while building and leading a high-performing global recruiting team.

You will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, translating business priorities into scalable, future-ready hiring strategies. This includes building a modern, intelligence-driven talent acquisition function that leverages AI, strengthens our employer brand, and delivers exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences aligned with Commerce’s growth objectives and culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute a global, future-ready talent acquisition strategy and operating model aligned to business growth enabling product innovation and go-to-market expansion

  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to anticipate talent needs across evolving areas such as engineering, product, and digital commerce

  • Partner with leadership to drive the adoption of AI and automation across the recruiting lifecycle (sourcing, screening, matching, scheduling, and analytics)

  • Build and scale a differentiated global employer brand in partnership with the marketing and culture team

  • Elevate candidate and hiring manager experience through streamlined, transparent, and high-impact processes

  • Establish modern hiring practices including structured interviewing, skills-based hiring, and data-driven decision-making

  • Ensure talent acquisition practices and outcomes advance Commerce's culture, values and diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments.

  • Leverage data and analytics to establish KPIs, measure team performance, report to executive stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across all recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, pipeline health).

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global talent acquisition team

  • Ensure compliance with global employment laws, hiring practices, and governance standards

  • Support strategic initiatives including workforce planning, organizational design

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including leadership of global teams in high-growth technology, SaaS, or commerce environments

  • A strategic, forward-thinking talent leader with a track record of transforming recruitment through technology, automation, and process innovation

  • Deep expertise in global, full-cycle recruiting across technical and non-technical functions

  • Strong understanding of AI and emerging trends shaping the future of talent acquisition; experience implementing ATS, CRM, and modern recruiting technologies

  • Demonstrated success building and scaling employer brand and talent marketing strategies

  • A strong business partner who connects talent strategy to company growth, revenue, and customer outcomes

  • Data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into action and influence executive stakeholders

  • Experienced in managing recruiting operations, budgets, and vendor partnerships with a focus on ROI and scalability

  • An inspiring people leader who builds, coaches, and develops high-performing, globally distributed teams

  • Strong knowledge of global talent markets and competitive hiring landscapes

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, scale, and change in a fast-paced environment

For candidates based in the Austin, TX Metro area, this role follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office to balance focused individual work and meaningful in-person collaboration.

The national base salary range for this role is posted above in this job post.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications and geographic location. We also consider internal equity to help ensure fair and consistent pay practices across our teams.
