The Role:
As we scale, ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our cloud-native, SaaS-first infrastructure is paramount. We’re seeking a Director of SRE to lead our SRE team, responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, and operational excellence of our analytics platform across multi-cloud environments and Software customers.
What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of 25+ member platform SR organization in the Americas, fostering
a culture of automation, observability, and operational excellence.
Define and execute the strategic vision and technical roadmap for SRE, driving reliability,
scalability, and efficiency in ThoughtSpot’s cloud-native analytics platform.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to build self-healing, highly available
distributed systems with a focus on cloud scalability (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Drive automation-first SRE practices, leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform,
Kubernetes) and proactive monitoring to reduce toil.
Ensure ThoughtSpot’s analytics platform maintains high availability and low-latency
performance while handling complex AI/ML-driven workloads.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies in cloud computing, big data, and AI-driven analytics,
integrating best practices into ThoughtSpot’s infrastructure.
What You Bring:
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of engineering leadership in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure, managing teams
of 20+ engineers.
5+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
4+ years of experience in automation & observability, building tooling to reduce operational
complexity in managing cloud-scale services.
Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, and
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
Proven ability to hire, mentor, and develop top-tier SRE talent in a high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with programming/scripting (Python, Go, Java, or Ruby) to automate
operations and improve developer experience.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to drive technical alignment across
engineering, product, and business teams.

The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $194k – $277k per year. Actual compensation may vary and will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location of the selected candidate.
