Lead business development for wholesale and off-premise strategies, managing growth, partnerships, and operations across multiple locations in hospitality.

At Convive Brands, we aren’t just running restaurants; we’re building a scalable hospitality platform. We manage a portfolio of beloved brands like Le Pain Quotidien and Little Beet, and we’re looking for a commercial "builder" to take our Wholesale and Off-premise engines to the next level.

This isn’t a role for a spectator. We need a Director of Business Development who views hospitality through a lens of growth hacking and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the VP of Food & Beverage, you will own the P&L for two high-impact revenue channels across 50+ locations, turning local favorites into regional powerhouses.

The Challenge: Strategic Architect & Execution Lead

You will be the bridge between culinary creativity and commercial scalability. You’ll spend your time in two primary "sprints":

1. The Wholesale Engine (Retail & Institutional)

  • Architect the Strategy: Design the GTM roadmap for wholesale across retail, foodservice, and institutional partners.
  • Pipeline Management: Identify and secure high-value partnerships that align with our brand DNA and margin targets.
  • Product Lifecycle: Partner with Culinary and Supply Chain to move products from "concept" to "shelf" at scale.
  • Optimization: Treat the channel like a product: monitor velocity, distribution, and cost to constantly iterate for better performance.

2. The Off-premise Ecosystem (B2B & Offsite)

  • Scale the Model: Modernize our catering offering into a repeatable, high-margin machine across all 50 units.
  • B2B Growth: Drive demand through corporate accounts and large-format events, leveraging data to increase Average Order Value (AOV).
  • Tech Stack Optimization: Evaluate and manage third-party platforms and digital tools to streamline the user experience for our catering clients.

Who You Are

  • A Commercial Leader: You have 5+ years of sales leadership experience, specifically within high-growth hospitality, catering, or wholesale.
  • Data-Driven: You’re comfortable in a spreadsheet. You can build financial models, analyze margins, and use data to tell a story to executive leadership.
  • A Cross-Functional Navigator: You speak "Chef," "CFO," and "Marketing" fluently. You know how to get buy-in from Operations to ensure your vision is executed on the floor.
  • The "Builder" Mindset: You are energized by change, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by the chance to build a sustainable business for the long term.

The Payoff

  • Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 + performance-based bonus.
  • Impact: You are a senior leader at a multi-brand group with the autonomy to shape the future of two iconic NYC brands.

Culture: A team that values strategic execution, leadership through empathy, and the grit it takes to win in the NYC market.
