Our Hardware engineering team is the engine driving our innovation, and as we scale, the need to standardize, control, and make accessible our critical engineering documents and processes has never been more vital. We're seeking a proactive and skilled Document & Control Records Analyst to build and maintain the foundational framework for our engineering information ecosystem. This role will work for Anduril’s Engineering Systems & Configuration Management (ESCM) team that reports to the Hardware Engineering Organization.
This is a unique opportunity to establish best practices, implement cutting-edge document management strategies, and become the central point of contact for all engineering-related documentation. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our engineers have seamless access to the information they need to design, build, and iterate effectively, thereby accelerating our product development lifecycle and mitigating risks
Establish & Implement Document Control Policies: Develop, document, and enforce comprehensive policies and procedures for the creation, review, approval, revision, distribution, and archival of all engineering documents (e.g., CAD drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications, test reports, process documentation, technical manuals).
Design & Manage the Engineering Document Repository: Create, configure, and maintain a robust process database or knowledge management platform. This includes structuring the system, defining metadata, and ensuring user-friendly navigation.
Champion Version Control & Revision Management: Implement rigorous version control protocols to ensure that only the latest approved versions of documents are accessible and in use, preventing errors and rework.
Facilitate Cross-Functional Access & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and other relevant departments to understand their documentation needs and ensure their specs and processes meets requirements.
Develop & Deliver Training: Create and conduct training sessions for engineers and other stakeholders on document control procedures and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Oversee Document Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of engineering documents from creation to eventual archival or destruction, ensuring compliance with internal policies and any relevant external regulations.
Conduct Audits & Ensure Compliance: Periodically audit document control processes to ensure adherence to established policies and identify areas for improvement.
Stay Abreast of Best Practices: Research and recommend advancements in document control, knowledge management, and information governance to continuously improve our systems and processes.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in document control, records management, or knowledge management, with a strong focus on technical documentation or engineering environments.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing document control policies and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise tool suite (e.g., SharePoint, Windchill, Teamcenter, Arena, DocuWare, or similar).
- Strong understanding of version control principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence diverse technical teams.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with engineering disciplines, processes, and document types (e.g., CAD, BOMs, specifications) is highly desirable.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret Clearance
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
