This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, has strong instincts for what makes a story land, and can move seamlessly from strategy to execution. You'll work in close partnership with our media relations team, serving as the content engine that creates powerful stories to amplify across channels.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the editorial and strategic lead on content that reaches a variety of audiences, including but not limited to media, policymakers and regulators

  • Monitor news cycles, track emerging trends, and identify opportunities to insert clients into relevant conversations

  • Draft and edit a range of content quickly and with precision, including press materials, digital copy, paid media scripts, executive messaging, and more

  • Develop content strategies for long-term reputation building projects, ensuring consistent narrative continuity across campaigns, channels, and client touchpoints

  • Partner closely with the media relations team to ensure content is strategically aligned, on message, and ready to move at the pace of the news cycle

  • Collaborate with digital, creative, and design teams to concept and produce campaign assets aligned to strategic objectives

  • Partner across practice areas to ensure content is integrated, consistent, and ladders up to broader campaign goals

  • Bring a journalist's instincts and a strategist's discipline to everything you write and produce

  • Collaborate with SEO, AEO, and analytics experts to optimize content performance and discoverability.

  • Stay current on emerging content trends, AI tools, audience behaviors, and platform best practices.

We are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities. We aim to promote continuous learning and individual skills development through on-the-job learning, self-guided professional development courses and certifications. As you progress through your career at FTI Consulting, we offer tailored programs for critical professional milestones to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in communications, PR, content strategy, or a related field

  • Experience translating data and insights into multichannel content

  • Experience working in or alongside digital and creative teams on integrated campaigns

  • Comfort with the creative concepting process and ability to brief and collaborate with designers and producers

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams under deadline pressure

  • Strong project management capabilities, including oversight of multichannel, integrated campaigns, with a proven ability to manage senior and junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public affairs, policy, or regulated industries is a plus

  • Experience working with optimization for SEO and LLMs
