We are Looking for Electrical Engineer JMP/HDL position based in Alameda California for Full-time position.

LOcation:Morgan hill California or alameda California

Duration : Full-time

Qualifications

Job Summary
In this role; you’ll work as part of a joint project team – with a major tech brand and emerging technology. The Velodyne LiDAR is a prototyping, design, and manufacturing facility in Morgan Hill, CA for Velodyne consumer technology customers.
Job Responsibilities
Customers’ documentation analysis. Perform DFM, FMEA analysis.
Product line and layout preparation.
Production line material flow preparation.
Perform capacity / time study analysis and improvement and Routing preparation.
Prepare work instructions / standard work.
Plan for the necessary jigs and fixtures for production use.
Perform regular maintenance to upkeep the jigs and fixtures.
Attend to any quality issues arise and provide timely resolutions.
Train and impart knowledge to subordinates and assembly operators.
Drive Kaizen Products
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
Prototype development for next generation variants to existing products
Component second source, selection, and schematic/PCB layout
Make recommendations product enhancement
Job Requirements
Minimum 5years of experience in Electrical Engineering related to assemblies in mechanical field.
Familiar with JMP and HDL
Able to communicate well in English language and writing.
Understand mechanical drawings.
Prototype development for next generation variants to existing products
Component second source, selection, and schematic/PCB layout
Make recommendations product enhancement
Work with Contract Manufacturers on Functional Tests and troubleshooting
Assist with agency compliance testing
New material / process exploration
Ability to work both individually or as part of a team
Education Requirements
Possess a MS or BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
