ABOUT THE CO-OP PROGRAM
Bose Corporation is seeking students to participate in our Co-op Program who share our belief that sound is power. During the six-month co-op, students will have the chance to apply classroom learning in a hands-on work environment. Co-op participants will network across the business to gain diverse perspectives within Bose Corporation. Additionally, co-ops will connect with other students and colleagues, building valuable professional relationships for the future.
Spring Co-op: Candidates must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a hybrid, in-office format from January 11, 2027 through June 25, 2027. No relocation assistance is available.
Being currently authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position.
THE ROLE
We're looking for an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join the Premium Consumer Audio Electrical Engineering team. The Electrical Engineering Co-Op will design/evaluate new technologies for future Bose products. Our team looks to the future of consumer audio products and develops prototypes to evaluate future product improvements that include sensor technologies, audio amplifier architectures, and electronics miniaturization. The Co-Op will have the opportunity to work on several projects:
(1) Lead active advanced development work on new sensor technologies (inertial, bio-sensing, optical, capacitive/inductive, force/pressure, environmental)
(2) Work alongside experienced Bose engineers on day-to-day product development and validation activities
(3) Support Cadence library parts creation
(4) Automate Cadence library part creation using AI
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated electrical engineering student to investigate cutting-edge sensing technologies, design experiments, build/validate prototypes, analyze data, automate processes, and influence technology decisions that may shape future consumer electronics experiences. REQUIREMENTS
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
  • Academic: Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Technical: Experience with power conversion, signal integrity, sensors, battery management, digital buses (UART, I2C, I2S, SPI), mixed-signal PCB design, hardware prototyping/debug. Familiarity with firmware, EMC, RF.
  • Tools: Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, logic analyzers, data acquisition, etc. Experience with simulation tools such as LTspice, schematic entry, and PCB layout tools such as Cadence Allegro.

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $22.00-$31.75 per hour.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
