Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring for a Front-Line Electrical Engineering Manager in El Segundo, CA to lead all electrical design as well as product ownership of Antenna/Array Feeds, Passive Microwave Devices and RF test verification. This leadership role within Boeing Mission Systems Integrated Design Engineering will be able to directly influence the success of multiple government and commercial satellites, in addition to One Boeing opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Passive microwave, Antenna feeds, and RF testing, including RF High power and array products
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in RF, microwave, antenna, or related disciplines
  • Experience with technical oversight, integration, and verification of complex hardware systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience managing engineering teams in aerospace or defense
  • Hands-on experience with passive microwave devices, antenna feeds, and RF test systems
  • Experience supporting satellite or space hardware programs
  • Experience leading process improvement and supplier technical management

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $151,300 - $204,700
