About This Role:

iRhythm is currently seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join our Product Development team. Engineers at iRhythm work passionately to deliver innovative solutions that improve the quality of healthcare and the patient experience. In this role you will contribute directly to near and long-term commercialization efforts for our next-generation wearable bio-sensors, collaborating alongside a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers experienced in bringing medical devices to market.

You will gain exposure to the testing approach required to release Class 2 compliant hardware in the medical device industry. Your tasks will be to test, analyze, design, evaluate and debug circuits to support exciting additions to our product line. This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands on experience with a cutting-edge product within the medical device space.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Automating test equipment. 
  • Write test plans and reports for FDA submissions.
  • Create schematics and design PCBs to assist in testing of company products.
  • Lab bring-up of products and test tools.
  • Cross-functional collaboration within EE team and greater Product Development (MechE, F/W, System engineering).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field).
  • 1-3 years of industry experience in developing test systems.
  • Excellent EE fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Hands-on lab experience including soldering, data acquisition, lab test equipment: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification.
  • Familiarity with schematic and layout tools (Altium a bonus) as well as circuit analysis and simulation tools (SPICE).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with a scripting language for analyzing and plotting data (Python a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid position with a requirement for 50% presence in our San Francisco, CA office + lab. Will need to be flexible to work 100% onsite as needed.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Estimated Pay Range

$104,000.00 - $130,000.00
